In other news, the Stoinian King has officially declared the Venterran Incursion a Crusade. Thus renaming the conflict into the 2nd Mardakii Crusade. King Andrei III stated in a message throughout the entire Star Kingdom: "The victory at Cappadocia is a clear omen. We haven't lost that which brought us here, the ancestral fire we carry in our hearts. Laughing back at the face of danger whenever it stares directly at our souls. We will win this war. The Venterrans have bled for now and so have we. But I make this promise that by the time we push them back to the wormhole from where they once came, their veins will have run dry. I proclaim this conflict a Crusade. A Crusade against the vile Mardakii and their infidel allies, regardless of species, to expell them from our ancestral stars. Let this Sector hear us roar once more!"

The Ferristian Capital Council recieved a garbled transmission this morning from an Amic known as Karshev on the other side of the Badlands. The message contains the first known evidence of organized space-faring civilizations, including one known as "The Zelvan Regime". Reportedly, Karshev's ship suffered a severe navigational error while flying too closely to Badland space, and for the past 13 years, Ferristia officially recognized him as deceased. However, following his escape from Zelvan slavers, he has reestablished contact with Ferrisita, and provided means to contact a few other star nations if our Councillors deem it necessary.

26/10/1620 PD, Battlespace Update: A stealth fly-by over Ignis has captured an image of the planet that has been completely glassed by the Venterran Fleet. Ignis was an agricultural colony of 31 million Karelians and home the Field Marshal Valto Häkkinen who has been tasked with the defence of Cornucopia.

31/10/1620 PD, Battlespace Update: A scrambled message made it past the Venterran jamming devices around Cornucopia. All Cornucopian spires have been breached and the fighting has intensified to levels previously unheard of. The past weeks, the fight over Ascension Plaza has by itself resulted in 120.000 confirmed Stoinian deaths as of now. It's unclear how long the stalemate at Ascension Plaza will take and casualties are expected to rise even higher. Field Marshal Valto Häkkinen is still alive and commanding the Cornucopian Defence Forces.

An Unscrambled broadcast of the destruction of Ignis was sent by Venterran Fleet Commander Sagan Reklez who claimed the "right of vengeance" for the loss of his brother in the Battle of Cornucopia. Meanwhile, in what can only be described as an oversight, an unencrypted message by Fleet Commander Pryde to Fleet Commander Mayfeld showed contempt over the glassing of ignis.

4/11/1620 PD, Battlespace Update: Grand Admiral Aarush Vir and the 5th Armada have repelled the Venterran advance into the Rhodesian Sector. The Stoinian defensive lines are beginning to form and several small-scale offensives have been executed on the Elysian and Core fronts.

Polls of the Ryccian snap elections are projecting that the establishment parties are set to collapse politically, with new and minor parties taking the advantage. Pacifist parties in particular are expected to flounder electorally despite many of them having shifted towards a more relatively pro-military spending stance.

Venterran Forces under Fleet Commander Yamraiha have started a general withdrawal from the Elysium sector of Stoinian space. It is unknown what prompted this sudden withdrawal by the venterran fleet commander.
