Interview Publication Date: 01 June 2014 Interviewee: Kraketopia, President of Europeia Interviewer: Kris Kringle, Delegate of the South Pacific Kraketopia is the newly-elected President of Europeia, and as part of his current state visit to our shores has agreed to be interviewed for our Visitor Spotlight. He discusses his history in NationStates, how he got involved in Europeia and why the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars is just as good as the Original Trilogy. 1. How did you learn about NationStates? What enticed you to join? When I was in university debate this girl I was sweet on told me about a great game where you got to run your own nation. So I checked it out :p Things didn't turn out with the girl, but they turned out with NS xD lol That's one of the best joining stories.  xD 2. How long have you been in Europeia? Why did you decide to move there? I've been in Europeia for seven months. I had joined NS a few years earlier, but stopped playing fairly early on. I had a desire to play again, and upon reading the recruitment message I thought I'd give it a try. The culture and people of Europeia were awesome, and they held my interest, and I was quickly calling many of them friends and jumping into public life. Some people don't participate much in the political aspect of their regions. How did you get started in government? I've always been a political person, and I plan to run for office IRL someday, so being involved in the government of Euro just made sense. I got started when a day after joining the region Anumia gave me my big break. He asked me if I would serve as his Minister of Communication, and a few days later there I was, a noob, running a Europeian Ministry. My staff and I did a fairly good job, and my career took off from there. Just a day after?! I had to wait a couple of months before getting a deputy job! 3. What's your style as President? Are you a hands on person and work alongside your Cabinet, or do you prefer to give everyone their priorities and let them run their ministries as they best see fit? I'm both. I like to give my ministers the space to do what they need to do, and what they're good at. But I also like to make sure things are being done appropriately. If they're not, I'll definitely step in and make sure things get done myself. 4. Former President Anumia once said that "it's a great time to be a Europeian". What do you think about that? I think that's an absolutely correct statement. Europeia is a dynamic, creative, and active place, and full of active, smart people. I've had nothing but a great time in Europeia so far. Now for some lighter questions. 5. Cake or Pie? Why? Cake. It's fluffy and delicious, and you can put icing on it. Welcome to the family. xD I'm totally not advertising, but I'm founder of the Church of Cake. >.> 6. What is your favorite book, movie, and/or game? Favourite book series: A Song of Ice and Fire. Favourite game: Skyrim. Favourite movie: Star Wars series/The Godfather series Original Trilogy or Prequels? I'm going to get so many haters for saying this, but I like them equally. I find it hard to compare the originals to the prequels. *Kringalia shakes Kraken's hand* You're really cool. I like them both too. *Kraketopia shakes Krinaglia's hand* It's so hard to find people like that I grew up with the prequels, so I really like them. 7. Anything you'd like to add? Just that it's been a great time being in Euro, and that I'm really looking forward to my visit in TSP. I've always had fun when I've stopped by the forums =) Thanks a lot for taking the time! I tend to play all styles, and have made at least five distinct builds I've played through most of the game with.
I love skyrim! I tend to play as a Breton Mage-archer, though.
Bretons are cool, though I usually play as a Hooded Tiger Assasin
