The Island League was established in 2016 with one goal: build a better TSP for the future. A group of friends, united in plight against a coup d'etat, banded together to create a political party that would make the community safer and stronger, through their collective experience in NationStates. Over the past 2 years, that mission has stayed the same. But a new dawn arises and the future is now yours. The Island League wants to be there to help, guide, and provide you the tools needed to explore and triumph in TSP's government.

The Island League has a stellar electoral history. Past and current members have been Delegate, Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, and judges on the court. We know elections. And we want you to run for office and introduce new lifeblood into a government that is becoming too stale and too repetitive. TIL's vision is to be a collective of civic-minded TSPers, helping each other come up with great ideas for improving the region, writing platforms, campaigning for each other, and using our strengths to help push our goals past the finish line.

That sounds great, yeah? But you're asking, "What do you guys stand for?"

TWO IN ONE | We believe that TSP thrives best when the forum government and the RMB peacefully coexist and work together, but don't try to overshadow one another. We don't want to see the RMB ruined because it was overtaken by arguing about regional politics. At the same time, joining the forums and participating in the Assembly should be as easy as possible, for those who want to get involved.

SELF-GOVERNANCE | We believe that the RMB is the best decider for how the RMB should work and be moderated. We believe in a strong Local Council that can exercise all the powers in its domain, without it turning into a playground for despots.

EXPANSION | We believe that the Local Council should be expanded with more opportunities created for average TSPers. Two more Local Council seats would mitigate the problem of famous TSPers running for the Local Council, locking out those without huge resumes and name recognition.

STICKING UP FOR THE GOOD GUYS | We believe TSP should stand for good in NationStates. That means our military shouldn't destroy other people's homes and regions. We should fight the bad guys and protect the good ones.
