[DRAFT] Amendment to the Elections Act |
(This is my first proposal, so forgive me if there are a few mistakes.)
Although the Elections Act states that candidates running for the Delegacy need to be declared i.e. they can only nominate themselves, it appears to be going for some time that other nations can nominate other nations to run for Delegate. Of course, it's the nominated nation's choice if they choose to run or not, but seeing that many people support you running for the most powerful position in TSP (or at least what appears to be) can moralise you to actually run. Ergo, I propose this amendment, highlighted in green and red: Quote:(2) On the first of every January and July, the Assembly will convene for the first round of Delegate elections. This doesn't seem necessary to me, because nothing in the law currently prohibits people from posting their nominations.

Nothing necessarily prohibits them, but nothing allows them to do so either. A small change such as this would suffice, though if the matter is really trivial then... well, it's up to you. I'm indifferent to this proposal. Although I am wary of over-legislating a non-existent issue.
I don't see this as necessary unless someone tries to prosecute for it or something. It's not really an issue, but if it was to be voted on, I would vote in favor.
some guy
Seeing as though not many people really support the proposal, I'll probably shut this off.
