[DISCUSSION] Laws governing the Administration Team
#11

I think it would make sense to either make highly political admin, which goes against the nature of the charter as it was intended, to either be answerable for their political choices OR to firewall the position. Therefore, admin cannot run for or hold any political office.

I think one or the other is completely necessary at this point. Admin should not be entering politics (as the charter currently is written) but have been trying to hold every political office possible in the cabinet. They are already highly politicized and deeply entrenched in politics.  Either they are answerable then for their political aspirations, motivations and actions or they are firewalled from holding any elected political position.

Admins should be long time trusted people in the game/forum/chat room that ideally have no political clout/inspirations in the game. The general flavor of recent events is the admins, both forum and chat room make decisions based on how they want TSP played and not on actual events.
TSP has always had it's "toxic" moments. Most of these, while not being stopped in it's tracks, where allowed to continue and escalate, whether it was because admins looked at those involved as long time players who would stop on their own or newer admins were intimidated in stepping on seasoned players.
The game is what it is. The decision is between giving total control to the triumvirate or appointing people who have been around long enough not to be intimated.
Administration/moderation is earned and not appointed and as such should never be a perk for an office. Some people can be very good at their jobs in government and just not be admin/moderator types.
