So like, I was at Barbara's, you know, the hairdresser's on 52^nd, she did Gina's niece's hair for her 4^th wedding and it was like fabulous babe. She married Vinnie's cousin, and they are like, so O.M.G gorgeous together, you should have seen them bae.

Anyway babe, so I was like at Barb's and she was like yapping on about this new election in the South. You remember the place Ronnie always hung out in. R.I.P Ronnie. O.M.G. Like, I keep tearing up when I think back to N-Day. It was soooooo saddddd. But the funeral was beautiful. Mama sure knows how to do them now.

Anyway, so like Sofie overhard Barb's talk about it and she looked at me and she was like 'Ver-Ron-Ica, Babe! You should totes run!' And I was like O.M.G. you really think so!?!? Like, I never really thought of myself as some old greasy slimeball but I guess I could be a politician. Like, I would F***ing rock in that role, don't you think babe?

Like, I don't want to like say I'm perfect but like I'm like 99.98 percent the way there. Don't you think babe? Like, I would make SUCH a good leader. Like, I'm already head of my cheerleading association and that community bake sale which I organised was O.M.G sooooooo successfully. Like, even the old fart, the local councillor guy who looks like he belongs in a morgue, came up to me after and like thanked me for my 'service to the community'. Like, LOL. I would be soooooo quiche for any role. I would totes rock as ... well ... I don't know Prime Minister or something with like a similar wardrobe budget, don't ya think babe?

What you have read is a first-hand account of the decision-making process that goes into deciding whether to serve the public.

I for one applaud the sacrifice Ms. McSouthland is making; choosing to put our great community ahead of her two o'clock medi-pedi is something which I think we should all stand up and salute.

Ms. McSouthland is perhaps not the leader we deserve, but she is one which we need!
