Harrison: "You're right, there has been inaction on the funding of OCMI and there is a lot of blame to go around for the reason why that is so. Despite having a majority in Parliament, there are members of the Alliance of Social Democrats that are opposing the effort to increase funding—"
Bowman: "Who?" Harrison: "I won't cite anyone in particular, but there is one party that is buying into The New Right's narrative that these cultists are freedom fighters. There is a tragic situation happening in rural areas in our countries and a number of MPs don't understand what is going on. We have Populist—Left MPs, MPs who represent these rural constituencies, who know what is actually happening in these constituencies, being called 'liars' for shedding light on the terrible things that these cults are doing. Children are dying and we have politicians who are turning a blind eye to the evil that is happening within our country. The things these cultists are doing are morally reprehensible, but there is nothing worse than people responding to this situation with inaction."
Bowman: "With all due respect, you expect the people to reelect you to a second term as Chancellor in July. How do you expect to be reelected if you can't effectively lead your alliance to pass legislation?"
Harrison: "Right now, our legislature has weak party discipline. When we will have completely transitioned into a parliamentary democracy where the Chancellor is once again part of Parliament, the ability for one to govern will be stronger. This is standard political science. In a political system where the executive acts independently from the legislature, it is harder to govern and pass legislation. We are reverting back to a system that allows for easier passage of legislation. I feel that this government that we already have has done extraordinary things with the system we have right now. If I'm still Chancellor through 2019, we will be able to get many more things done. Can someone else ask a question this time?"
Hope Myers is a journalist that works for The Macais Journal, which is a national conservative newspaper that is supportive of Opposition Leader Nicole Chancellor and The New Right. She managed to clinch the second question, "Chancellor, civil rights groups are concerned that there is political repression occurring within Valkyria. These groups believe that right-wing citizens are being targeted by an authoritarian government and mislabelled as cultists. One of these right-wing citizens—Jake Marshall—is running for Parliament and has said that he is being persecuted by the Valkyrian government. Why is the government targeting innocent people for their political beliefs?"
Harrison: "I don't know how you can say any of that with a straight face. Jake Marshall is the leader of a cultist group that has killed people because they 'dishonoured the gods'—"
Myers: "If that is the case, then why is Marshall not in prison?"
Harrison: "Where was he when a judge issued a warrant to arrest him? For nine months, he was a fugitive. He could have turned himself in and fought us in court. Instead, he ran. He didn't run because there was an oppressive government out to get him. He ran because he knew exactly what he did. And if it wasn't for an error in the paperwork, he would still be on the run. Right now, we know that he is a kidnapper, torturer, and murderer—"
Myers: "That's just not true—" Harrison: "When you look at the evidence, it damn well is."
Myers: "Is there anything that the leader of Huawan would like to say?"
"Our borders are strong and our rules are strict, break our laws, meet the consequences." Said The Peony, "The church of Huawan has seen a recent influx of these people coming to Huawan as missionaries, but without proper authority of the Vatican, and their questionable agenda in their practices, we are forced to flag them. The Islamic League of The South Pacific, of which we are leading chair directly from Mecca, values a sense of cultural and religious diversity, so long as it folloes the rules of the land, sorry to say, the Church of Valkyria do not meet. The vatican denounced them and our cardinal has made their judgement, you are not welcome here."

Harrison was trying not to gape as she stared at Myers and mentally condemning her behaviour. "She is doing this here, of all places," the chancellor thought. Myers went on, "Apparently, Catholics and Muslims get to exercise their freedom of religion, but when the old religions and Protestants want to exercise their freedoms, they are persecuted. It seems the real cultists and terrorists are the ones running these countries." Journalists from both countries couldn't help but gape at the audacity of Myers and so was the chancellor.
The chancellor had enough of Myers' antics, "How dare you? Have you no shame? Valkyria is a land where you can worship a god or many or none at all. This is not about freedom of religion. This is about people hiding behind religion. I'll let you know that I am a believer in the Old Norse religion." This was the first time that Harrison ever publicly divulged information on her own religious views, "These people that you speak so highly of have kidnapped, tortured, and murdered people in the name of a god or several. This is not a religion. You say that believers of the old religions and Protestants are being persecuted. The government is a place where these people are leading our country. We have people in our cabinet who are Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jewish, pagan, and atheist. I will not allow this slander to stand. We are not even on Valkyrian land and you are saying these things. It's chicanerous and reprehensible."
"Madam Chancellor." Said The Peony, she didnt try to hide her sternness. "Miss Myers, before you bring yourself to these interviews, we suggest that you do not spread false rumors on the protestant community of Huawan, nor the "old religions" you state to be, which in the Peocracy, takes mind to Tengriism. You state that we do not welcome these people when the fact is, in such an openly atheistic region, we house believers that are otherwise made into minorities in other states. Huawan has the largest population of muslims, taoists and tengriists in the entire continent, along with respectful others. They of course have to abide on our law, Peonic law, and if they wish to be treated differently, then they may leave for another place to commit their practices."
