Legislators,

The Cabinet has notified the Assembly of its wish to dissolve the Treaty of Capricorn between The South Pacific and The Pacific.

The debate thread can be found here. Additionally, Legislators can read the Cabinet statement here.

A motion and a second have been received to bring this repeal to a vote.

In accordance with Article 1, Section 3 of the Legislative Procedure Act and Article 2, Section 3 of the Treaties Act, the voting period is five days and will require a simple majority to pass. The vote will end on the 3rd of December 2018, at 11:50 a.m. (UTC).

Please vote by poll if possible. If you cannot vote by poll, post 'Aye', 'Nay' or 'Abstain' in this thread. Please do not vote both by poll and by post. Comments and discussion belong in the debate thread and may be moved there.

The vote to repeal the Treaty of Capricorn has passed.

The final tally is 39 in favour, 0 in opposition, with 9 abstaining.[1]

[1] @FosterKicks and @Khazadine were removed as Legislators following the November Legislator Check due to having failed to meet the minimum vote requirement. However their votes, which were cast before their removal, remain valid as per the High Court ruling, HCLQ1709.
