An Old but Fresh Perspective
When it comes to being in the Cabinet, everyone has their own ideas and a platform they ran on about how to run their ministry. Sometimes those ideas come to fruition, sometimes they get started but not finished, and sometimes they don’t get started at all. That’s where the Prime Minister steps in. The PM needs to be in constant contact with the Ministers, leading them, pushing them to reach for their goals - reminding them of their campaign promises, and helping them get there.
This is how I plan on doing that very thing...

A Fresh Face
I have been in TSP for almost 8 years now. I have been active in every ministry in some way, and have served in appointed positions from the CSS to High Court Justice. But it’s been a while. I haven’t been in the cabinet since 2014. The only other positions I’ve held since are CSS and Court Justice. While I have experience, I am a fresh face. Fresh ideas. No preconceived notions. I can come into this Cabinet with a clear mind.[/font]

Communication
Not to beat a dead horse, here, but this is everyone's campaign meat and potatoes, but rarely gets carried out. The Cabinet serves the region. The region deserves to know what the Cabinet is working on and show a pulse. My main order of business will be to constantly hound the Ministers, making sure they’re working toward fulfilling their campaign promises and keeping the ministries active.

With this, I would like to see some newspapers getting rebooted, and if/once that happens, I’d encourage Ministers to reach out and give them something to write about, and I’d encourage the publishers to reach out to the Ministers to get stories. I, too, will hold myself accountable, and hope that they reach out to me for comments. I would also like to run an A2A sort of like Roavin did - probably not in voice chat, but still on Discord. That way, it can be recorded, and released on both the forums and in-game. Also, I’d take questions in advance, in case someone couldn’t be present due to time zones or other time conflicts. Ideally, these A2A’s would be held on a regular basis - scheduling to be announced at least a few days ahead.

Getting Handsy
No! Not like that…
I won’t run the Ministries or forcibly make the Ministers do something, but I won’t be hands-off, either. I think that there can be a good balance of helping achieve goals, but not making goals for each ministry. There are some things I’d like to see done, but, at the same time, I’m not running for those positions. Prime Minister is meant to lead and nurture. Lead and hold accountable, but nurture and help each Minister achieve their goals as promised in their campaigns.

I look forward to, if elected, working with the Ministers and having a wonderful, fruitful term!

Thank you, and please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have!

First, this is an awesome campaign. I have long been a fan of you Rebel and seeing you run for a position like this gets me extremely excited.

Your campaign has a lot of focus on supporting the other Ministers and I am glad that you have a good handle at how important that is for the office. I've got a few big questions for you:

1: Outside of supporting the other Ministers and managing them where needed, what do you want to get done this term, any big huge projects you are going to focus on outside of your regular duties?

2: How would you describe yourself as a leader/boss. Are you strict? A little lax? The build them up type? The knock them down type?

3: Are you willing to, in the event of a serious unresolved issue that threatens Cabinet function, implement a Motion of No Confidence? Do you have an example of a situation where you would use this tool if yes?
Greetings, I am The Serres Republic.

I know you all look forward to when I complete my grand quest ;P.

Hi Rebs,

I'm loving this formidable campaign, and a lot I agree with, which is encouraging for me.

I've asked Roav a difficult question and in the interest of fairness... you get an equally challenging one...

Its to do with the Gameside/forumside interaction.... if elected, how would you hope to display your Prime Ministerial affections across all elements of TSP? Do you have any specifics thoughts?

Thank you. I appreciate the backing Smile And thanks for the questions!

I don't have an huge PM pet projects planned. Im really a "fly by the seat of my pants" kinda leader. We'll get settled in as a group, then discuss where we really see this term going, and where I can help.

I tend to be the lax/build them up kind. I lead by helping where I can, even if that help is "this person who isnt in the cabinet (or maybe is) would be a better person to ask, as they have much more experience that'd be able to help answer or help." But thats not to say that I cant be stern and make sure the cabinet is working together fairly.

I would have no qualms about using whatever devices in my power to right the ship. Though, a MNC is really the beginning of the end, and not something that should be used willy-nilly. And, while a 4 month term sounds long, its just short enough that, if a MNC is going to come out, its always near the end of the term, which, as we've seen in the recent past, makes things worse rather than better.

Thanks for the question, North Prarie.
Unlike my opponent Roavin, FA is probably my weakest area. I tend to be a "home body," sticking to TSP and not really getting too cosmopolitan.
My general stance is, at this point, TSP needs to spread our influence a little. We've stuck to our traditional sphere of influence - mostly GCRs - and, while that's worked in the past, its not really doing any good right now. We need to branch out and find some larger-to-medium sized UCRs - XKI, Europe - and spread our influence. Plus, making friends is fun!

As a citizen, Ive been getting better about making it to the gameside more often, and at the very least, posting once. I don't usually get too involved, as I don't really fit into the RP that's usually going on.
Really, as Prime Minister, I'd expect to be in contact with the Delegate and LC to find out if there's anything the cabinet can do to help make their lives easier, or make gameside better. As the executive branch of government, we should take any (hopefully constructive) criticism and work to fix it.

How come you felt comfortable making all those "Attack helicopter is my gender" jokes?

This question was a mistake: I had assumed things that were untrue and it lead to this faulty question. I'm going to keep it up so i can learn from my mistakes.

Before voting starts, I want to thank you all for asking questions of not just myself, but of everyone running this election cycle. I also want to thank everyone who is voting, most especially for me Tounge  But on the serious note, I'd love to become your next Prime Minister and continue to serve this amazing region!

May the best Rebeltopia person win!!
