HIGH COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC
Formal resignation of Justice Nat
5 February 2021

As may be recalled, I announced last December that I intended to resign at or around the end of January this year (link). I have finalised my last case and the Assembly is considering a nominee to fill my seat. As such, I believe it is now appropriate for me to resign.

My time on the Court has been the highlight of my TSP career. I thank my fellow justices for maintaining such a collegial atmosphere in chambers and wish them all the best for the future. I also want to express my gratitude to the people of this region for their willingness to allow the Court to do its work, and for their involvement through providing submissions on various cases (which I often find to be quite helpful).

While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Court, real-life circumstances mean that I must step aside. I may one day seek to return to the bench. Regardless, I plan to keep an eye on the Court as a private citizen; it is, in my "unbiased" opinion, the best judiciary in all of NationStates.
Former Associate Justice of the High Court of the South Pacific (4 December 2019 to 5 February 2021)

HIGH COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC
Statement on the Resignation of Justice Nat
04 February 2021

Justice Nat submitted today their resignation from the High Court. In their time on the bench Justice Nat has been one of the preeminent legal minds of the South Pacific, helping shape both the course of regional law and the administrative rules of the judiciary, as well as holding their fellow Justices to higher standards and, through this, improving the quality of legal discourse in the region. The Court wishes them the very best in their future endeavours and hopes to see them again on the bench, should the future lead them back to it.

HIGH COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC
Press Release on Updates to the Online Rulings Consultation System
15 February 2021

The Online Rulings Consultation System has been updated to consider all cases submitted since the foundation of the Coalition in 2003, each of whom has been properly documented and assigned the necessary codification. In addition, a tab has been added with a detailed explanation of the case codification system employed by the Court. It is the hope of the Court that this expanded record will be of use to the general public and anyone interested in learning about the judicial history of the South Pacific.

HIGH COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC
Press Release on the Resolution of Dormant Cases
06 March 2021

The High Court has issued determinations of justiciability and findings of probable cause on 11 cases that were never fully considered. These cases, dating back to the days of the Ministry of Justice in 2012, refer to issues that may have been relevant at the time of submission but by and large were no longer so. The Court did admit case [1712.HQ] Citizen Participation in Election Campaigns and looks forward to duly considering this case, in spite of the time that was passed since its submission; a fitting reminder that the Court will always deliver its promise of a fair and unbiased interpretation of the law, no matter how long that may take.

The cases that have been considered are listed below:
