At this past minor update, SPSF joined Lazarus, Osiris, Evil Cub, and (on short notice) the North Pacific Army to have some fun in Warzone Asia. A group of defenders, including SPSF, chased after The Black Hawks and Three Guys, scoring 10 wins. SPSF Personnel involved: Minister @Roavin Soldier @Miravana Trainee @phoenixofthesun14 We're still involved in besieging Iran to free it from an ongoing occupation by the North Pacific Army and The Black Hawks. During this last update, we prevented a planned Delegacy change by the occupying forces, thereby delaying their chances of purging defender and native nations. This operation was jointly led by Haku from the Order of the Grey Wardens as well as Minister Roavin. On the major update of 2020-01-10, a group of defenders including SPSF representation chased after the invaders from Three Guys, who were plastering various defenseless regions with their graffiti. In total, 6 regions were saved from defacement. Every WA update, various defenders from across NationStates have struck blows on the occupants, draining their influence, boosting native influence, and preventing the appointment of regional officers with border control. The soldiers from SPSF have been involved in every step, providing not just a significant portion of the boots on the ground, but also leadership and operational command. Great gains were made in the siege of Iran, which is currently being occupied by the North Pacific Army, The Black Hawks, and Europeia. . While the region has not yet been liberated, a large force of 40 defenders once again stormed the encampments of the enemy, dealing a significant blow to their influence reserves. Once again, SPSF personnel was involved in every aspect of this operation, from boots on the ground to leadership and operational command. Particularly notable is Soldier Miravana, who was responsible for calling the final GO command for these 40 individuals and performed admirably, impressing more experienced commanders both within and outside of SPSF. This operation was a large step in Miravana's training to become SPSF Officer. Are you sick of these yet? No? Good! Two more incredibly large strikes were made against the occupation in Iran by the North Pacific Army, The Black Hawks, and Europeia. At one of the updates, we were short by literally 2 individuals just short of the update time! While more significant blows have been made to their influence reserves, the time old disadvantage of defenders has reared its head again. We have thrown approximately 70-80 individual people during very narrow windows two times a day at Iran, with most of these individuals striking multiple times, while the invaders only have just over 50 people involved that were able to pile in any time during the day. In other words, even more people are needed to pull this off. Once again, if you would like to help the liberation efforts, please send me a message via Discord. SPSF personnel continues to be involved in every aspect of this operation. More than just the previously mentioned boots on the ground, leadership, and operational command, SPSF has also been in contact with Iranian natives and has gotten significant support from its primary long-time native. Iran is free! At the past minor update, the native Delegate has finally regained control of the region. While ultimately enabled by a slow withdrawal of forces from the North Pacific, this was facilitated by another 24 individuals in Libcord jumping in with precise timing (signaled, once again, by SPSF Soldier Miravana) to endorse the native. 24 is an astounding number considering that weekday minor updates are usually the worst updates with regards to attendance, proving that spirits are high even in the face of difficulty; it would not be unreasonable to speculate that the withdrawal order was given to avoid a direct defeat, given that even on this sleepy weekday minor update, SPSF and friends would have been incredibly close to outright liberating the region as-is. SPSF troops are now helping to clean up the region after its occupation, and will soon return home in time to exercise their democratic right to vote in the ongoing Delegate election. While it's inevitable that another invasion on a defenseless region will occur, it's also inevitable that SPSF will once again give all it has to protect these innocent regions from senseless occupations, and do so proudly flying the flag of the South Pacific, the symbol for democracy in NationStates. It's Friday! Do you know where your bass player is? The cleanup efforts in Iran have come to a close. Especially Officer Miravana and Trainee Nagaland had some fun, purging a total of 28 hostile nations from the region. With the big Iran effort out of the way, we've been doing various smaller operations and training. Trainee Arafella, Officer Miravana, and General Nakari partook in quite a few tag defenses in the past few days, while Soldier phoenixofthesun14 took the initiative to participate in a detag run with Hartfelden's Matthew. And last but not least, Soldier Warrior, General Nakari, and SPSFBFF Daytime to Night liberated a smaller region at yesterday's minor update. "Roavin, wait", I hear you say, "wasn't Miravana only a soldier?" - correct, but Mira's excellent performance both during training sessions and during the siege of Iran have earned them a well-deserved promotion to the rank of Officer. Congratulations! In more organizational news, the General Corps has made slight adjustments to the standing rank requirements, consistent with our move to be a formal defender region last year. The adjustments affect the Officer and Commander ranks and won't impact most SPSF personnel. Finally, SPSF is always looking for more personnel, both military and civilian. "Another update, Roavin? jfc you're spamming us with these SPSF reports!" Calefacta Aquas Piscinae saved from invasion! At yesterday's minor update, SPSF and friends deployed within mere seconds to defend another region from senseless invasion. A total of 10 defender forces stormed in right after the invaders and endorsed the native Delegate quick enough to prevent the invading forces from taking over the region. After their loss in Calefacta Aquas Piscinae, the invaders from Lone Wolves United instead set their targets on Q102. Unfortunately, this time the defender forces were not able to get in on time (there was only a three second window), so instead we geared up again to besiege the region. After establishing a foothold at the last major update, this last minor update the combined Defender forces stormed in through that beachhead and took the Delegacy away again from the overwhelmed Wolves. It's been a few days since I've reported, but that doesn't mean we were idle. Quite the contrary! Almost at every update, SPSF soldiers have been involved. The operations weren't big flashy ones, but in their quantity they are important nonetheless in our mission to protect vulnerable regions across the NationStates metaverse from senseless invasion. In total, over these past 5 days, we have had 10 defenses, 30 detags, and 1 liberation.
