[FAILED] A1903.02: Amendment to Article 2 of the Legislative Procedure Act

Legislators,

A proposal has been introduced to amend Article 2, Section 4 of the Legislative Procedure Act.

The debate thread can be found here.

A motion and a second have been received to bring this amendment to a vote.

As this is a constitutional law amendment, the voting period is five days and will require a three-fifths supermajority of those voting in favour to pass, with the exception of abstentions. The vote will end on the 17th of March, 2019, at 02:04 a.m. (UTC).

(4) The Chair may correct typographical errors, grammatical errors, naming or formatting inconsistencies at any time, as long as these corrections do not alter the original intent of the law, following a three day period in which the corrections are presented to the assembly for comments. Any such corrections must be recorded with the legislative history of each law.

Please be advised that the vote to amend Article 2 of the Legislative Procedure Act has failed.

The final tally is 14 in favour, 19 in opposition, with 7 abstaining, for a total of 40 votes.

The vote was not passed with 42% voting in favour, therefore not exceeding the requirement for a three-fifths supermajority of those voting with the exclusion of abstentions.
