Why is this change being allowed mid-vote with no discussion prior? Now there's no tracking of the votes - opening the election up to electioneering.

This is a huge change to have been made during a tight 50/50 - without any prior announcement.

This is not the place for it. If you have concerns about this election then you should contact Tsunamy or post here.

Thanks

Considering you've already done it why are you stating it's a problem?

Actually, Unibot. These changes favor you.

While I certainly didn't know this was possible, it really changes nothing about the election process. This is even more so since -- when I attempted to end the practice of changing votes several months ago -- you were a leading advocate against my proposal.

In short: Deal with it.

For the record, this is something I assumed people were able to do all along.

They very well might have been. I don't think I set anything differently with regard to these polls.

We didn't start using poll votes until the move to the new forum. You have always been allowed to change your vote by posting in the vote thread. With the advent of the poll vote, one could not change their vote in the pole so posts were made to have the EC change it. The only thing that's different is that it was found a poll option exits to allow people to change their vote on there own in the poll and it's brought up concern that the "Please change my vote" paper trail has disappeared. There is nothing new here, It's just a little more convenient.

It definitely wasn't anything you did or didn't do! The permission to undo your vote is only an option when viewing global permissions for a group. It doesn't show up when looking at forum-specific permissions. That's why I assumed it was a standard feature that couldn't be disabled. I also assumed that it was a non-obvious feature that some people just weren't seeing! [emoji13]
