Dearest Admins/Forum Masters/Technical Overlords/Underpaid and Overworked Minions,

Would it be at all possible to add a countdown clock to the forum which can be manually set by an individual (i.e. the Chair or an EC)?

How about a clock that is set to a target time (i.e. 5 days from posting, or specifically on dec 24, or ...) and it shows a countdown to the user or just "00:00:00" when expired?

Adding a countdown is easy. But unless we create a custom plugin, it’s gonna be something added directly to the themes and thus would only be editable by admins.

Ah, I see. That is unfortunate. Thank you both for your input but I think this may be too inconvenient to proceed.
