Since 2016 party platform, the official ideological stance of the Labor Party has been social democracy. The Labor Party was founded on 14 May 1986, but was preceded by the Social Democratic Party, which was founded shortly after the Qvaitican Civil War in 1970.

Political positions Ideology Before 2005 and since 2016, the prevailing ideology of the Labor Party has been social democracy. However between 2005 and 2016, the party was positioned closer to the political centre while espousing social liberalism instead of social democracy. This created an internal divide within the Labor Party and would not end until the social liberals formed their own party—the Liberal Party—in 2016.
Voter base Since the Labor Party's founding in 1986, the voter base has generally been comprised of the working class, urban workers, youth, and minorities.

Conservative Party
The Conservative Party, officially the United Conservative Party (UCP), is a centre-right political party in the Valkyrian Republic. There is no official ideological stance for the Conservative Party, but today's membership is mostly liberal conservative. After its founding on 9 February 1971, the Conservative Party was the dominant party in the Qvaitican Republic.

Political positions Ideology Since 2016, liberal conservatism has been the predominant ideology of the Conservative Party. This came after the national conservatives abruptly abandoned the party to form The New Right and the centrist democrats slowly formed the Centrist Democratic Party. According to political commentators, Conservative Party is the middle ground between the Centrist Democratic Party and The New Right.
Voter base Most Conservatives tend to be located in suburbs and rural areas and the party has the support of business owners. However, support for the Conservative Party among adherents of Valkyrianism has been split with The New Right.
