I don't dislike the image itself, but the format of forum sections, buttons, etc. would have to be changed. Check the counting of pages in this thread for example, or the list of users seeing this thread. It just doesn't look right, perhaps because words in black and dark blue are difficult to read with the background image. I don't know if there's a weay to tweak those features?

Is this better? With the background, I think the options are either to make everything bold (possibly) or lower the transparency. Right now it's at 90% white. If Its 100%, I think we might as well not have the background ...
