Honestly though, a right to public transport act would be practical.

I'd like to propose a commendation....

I dont know if it'll get much support in the SC.... but wells up slightly I need to do this.

As a first draft, given I'm not particularly good at SC proposals, could you tell me what you think slabbie et.al.

It's for sure a good first draft, but it could use more specifics. I'll put my critiques in red and the original draft in italics. Happywide
OVERALL: Make sure to add commas at the end of each clause since they are not complete sentences. Almost make sure your proposal is like one big sentence.

The Security Council,

Recognises Erinor's tenure as delegate, twice, in the South Pacific, and admires the character of their influence on the development of the South Pacific, where they currently serve as Prime Minister and on the Council for Regional Security. Make sure to add a break in between these two clauses. You could reword the "twice" section to make it flow better.
Also acknowledges the previous roles as Minister for Regional Affairs (on three occasions), Local Councillor and Electoral Commissioner. Further, also recognises the various Ambassador roles Erinor has held supporting interregional peace and prosperity. The key to this proposal's success is adding the specifics of how he made TSP a better place. Having government positions is one thing, but making a difference is another.

Praises Erinor's duty to the peace, prosperity, administration and organisation of the South Pacific and its agencies.

Acknowledges Erinor's contribution to the culture of the South Pacific and wider NationStates through creation and involvement in the Silicon Pens, a writing group which encourages personal writing and development. Add a space Acknowledges the provision of support and growth provided to communities through NaNoWriMo. You could combine these last two acknowledges under "Further acknowledges" Acknowledges Erinor's role in the formation of the Church of the South Pacific, where personal and religious service is provided.

Believes that the nation of Erinor has diligently served as a prime example for excellence, efficiency and effectiveness, in a large and complex region. Add specifics of what he did as PM

Calls attention to Erinor as one of the most encouraging and kind members of the community supporting individuals in multiple areas of NationStates life providing pastoral and duty of care. Space Strongly appreciates the care and attention provided by Erinor by being a supportive, caring and thoughtful mentor. Making talk about how he wrote the primary guide to getting involved in NS in TSP.

Acknowledges Erinor's efforts to mentor and support new nations creatively and constructively, and attests to Erinor's support of interregaional relationships through events and forums. Specifics

Recognises the extensive administrative, diplomatic, and organisational work Erinor has performed in the South Pacific, which is one largest regions in the NationStates multiverse. Specifics Tounge

Believes Erinor's long history of public service and promotion of a warm, friendly and caring community, is deserving of a commendation.

Hereby commends Erinor.

This is more so a suggestion relating to an internal WA — it would be interesting and a good starting point for those of us not well versed in the intricacies of the GA if we were to create resolutions separate from the gameside version of the WA.

Taking this to the forums, since I have a current working draft on something Aggie's suggested: a NAPA repeal.

[DRAFT] Repeal “Nuclear Arms Possession Act”
Category: Repeal
Resolution: GA#10
Proposed by: Eggraria

General Assembly Resolution #10 "Nuclear Arms Possession Act" (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and ruled null and void.
The World Assembly,

Noting the efforts since the inception of the World Assembly to ensure protection among its members,

Understanding the difficulty of nuclear tensions, oftentimes resulting in dangerous cold war scenarios,

Hoping to see an effort of nations to relieve tensions between each other without the usage of nuclear threat,

Regretting the possible tensions that can escalate among World Assembly member nations with the usage of frequent nuclear arms,

Alarmed by the unlimited possession of nuclear arms granted to nations in this resolution, and having no existing current limit, allowing nations to gather obscenely large and unnecessary arsenals for defense,

Concerned with the lack of fair and just regulation on the topic of nuclearization, with only one prior General Assembly resolution having been passed and eventually repealed on the usage of nuclear arms,

Hereby repeals General Assembly Resolution 10, titled “Nuclear Arms Possession Act”.

Opinions? I'd love to hear them.

I can vouch that this proposal has gone through the minds of many an author. However, MANY nations love their nukes, and a repeal of this resolution would be seen as the first step to ban WMDs. I've also been told that submitting this proposal would be political suicide, not that this is my opinion. I know both Aggie and myself have pushed this idea around, but both of us abandoned it.

Can't be political suicide if you barely have a career as is

I could attempt to have a clause expressing that the repeal is in hopes for a more constructive and healthy allowance of WMDs among member nations. I'll work on trying to get rid of the view that the repeal is the first step in an outright ban; NAPA just seems too loose to be the proper way of doing things.
