The Ananke Award is given to the nation recognised as excelling at 'spotting' invasions. This normally means sacrificing their own time both at update and throughout the day to identify and monitor suspicious activity across the whole of NationStates.

The award is named after Ananke, whose contributions were recognised by a Security Council commendation (SC Resolution #34) as a defender in the North Pacific Army (NPA), Alliance Defense Network (ADN), Red Liberty Alliance (RLA) and 10000 Islands Treaty Organization (TITO). Ananke won the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
