TOWN HALL III

Overview

As we slowly creep towards the end of this year (2020 is upon us! Omaiii, I feel old ...), I encourage all South Pacificans to purchase sweatpants for what will undoubtedly be a very deliciously fattening month!

Despite the impending onslaught of holiday festivities, the South Pacific is as active as one might expect; we are in the midst of Local Council elections; the Ministry of Regional Affairs is holding a fantastic Advent calendar and simultaneously planning for several other initiatives; Foreign Affairs continues to pursue with determination stronger relations with our foreign partners; and Military Affairs has introduced a Tidal Force Program to involve greater numbers of our community in a fundamental aspect of NationStates.

Integration will be looking at a massive recruitment push and a MoRA Fellowship retainment and companionship project called AMOuR (that's MoRA with a U - thanks to Seraph for the pun)

Media is reforming CocoPress, and we will have a Minister Statement, along with a new article out shortly.

Events Planning is currently planning a joint festival with another region, and the advent calendar is ongoing. More on that soon.

Seraph was also appointed as Deputy Minister, but I have not yet found time to put together an announcement.

We have a couple of projects in the pipeline at the moment that are largely in their conceptual stages. The Ministery is very encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive response the Southern Islander Accords received from the international community. We also have an immediate need for a new Communications Director so please contact Minister Omega for more information. As always, Omega is happy to answer questions from the general public at any time.

We have officially launched the new Tidal Force Program that was piloted a few weeks ago. Sadly, we had to let go of an inactive, Enlisted Staff Member. However, this means that we have reopened applications for both Tidal Force Coordinator and Recruitment Officer. The ministry has also developed a better system to enforce the activity of it's members. Finally, I'm happy to report that the first of two parts in a new SPSF training program has been completed. The second is underway.

I don't actually have a question, but am raising awareness for a new regional project that I have put together: TSP Encyclopedia.

My goal is to put together a group of TSPers that will work on this project and eventually make it a go-to guide for newcomers in the region, whether that's for roleplay or TSP government. If there are people willing to help create the articles listed in navigation, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't know how to start a particular article, such as "Delegate of the South Pacific", a good inspiration to article formatting would be "President of Germany" on Wikipedia. Or for "Government of the South Pacific", there is the "Finnish Government" article on Wikipedia. We can definitely bounce back on each other's edits and lighten the workload for every individual editor.

If you don't know how to use wikitext, I believe there are YouTube tutorial videos available, but you can also ask me questions about how to [[link articles]] or create ==section titles== or whatever advanced formatting issue exists. It took me years to develop an advanced understanding of wikitext, so please be patient with yourself if you find yourself frustrated with formatting. By all means, you can leave your additions unformatted and someone else can handle it for you.
