TOWN HALL IV

Overview

The end of one year and the start of another is rarely a time for ministry activity to be at it's height. Add to the that the fact that the cabinet has had to react to and act in the wake of two significant resignations and we could be forgiven, I hope, for not achieving very much. I'm very pleased to report, however, that despite all of this the ministries have not been stagnant. Regional Affairs has been busy preparing new things for the New Year, Foreign Affairs has been continuing its valuable work of building our relations with other regions and Military Affairs is preparing for a 2020 renaissance!

Please read the short reports below for a little more detail and, as always, feel free to ask us any questions you might have in this thread, on Discord or on the RMB.

Ministry of Regional Affairs — Minister Ski Slopes of Agalaesia

Media is currently going through reforms. We will be bringing back the Southern Journal for factual news, and starting the new "Mangozine" Magazine for less factual, more lighthearted news.

Integration is still in limbo. As the previous senior fellow has become an advisor, we are looking for someone else to fill the position in.

Events Planning is currently running the TSP-XKI joint festival, and have plans for two other joint festivals before the conclusion of the month.

Roleplay has had a revival with a new senior fellow in Qvait (also known as Jay). The regional roleplay community has also created its own Discord server independent of the main regional server and can be accessed at this link.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Minister Omega

The Ministry continues to engage with allies and neighbors from across the world and is currently looking forward to our event with XKI and the other joint festivals in the works. Preliminary discussions are underway for several agreements with other regions, details of which will be released if/when they are finalized. Finally, Omega recently attended the Yule Ball in Europeia as a gesture of continued interest in the affairs of those regions we may not be allied with and to just have a great time with members of foreign regions. As always, Omega is more than happy to answer questions from the public at any time.

Ministry of Military Affairs — Minister Roavin

Due to a variety of factors (including the Holidays and Heliseum's abdication), there hasn't been that much. We've reinforced the region Christmas over the holidays, a frequent raid target this time of year. We've also begun some internal discussions about how to improve our processes. We're still looking for some new personnel for Tidal Force and Enlistment!
