TOWN HALL V

Overview

Another term draws to a close, but what an eventful term it has been! Even without considering that many things the ministries have been up to, or the almost hyperactive Assembly, there were two cabinet resignations to deal with. Thus, as we look back across this busy term, we must bear in mind the vital contributions of former Prime Minister Amerion and former Minister of Military Affairs Heliseum, without whom much of what has been achieved would not have been possible! For myself, it has been a term of reacting to minor events and providing support to my ministers as and when. I'll be the first to admit that this means I haven't had to do very much. With such a competent cabinet, what is there for a Prime Minister to attend to? Well, no complaints here, anyway.

Enough about me, then. Please read the short reports below for a little more on the term as a whole and, as always, feel free to ask us any questions you might have in this thread, on Discord or on the RMB.

This term has been an eventful one. Below is a summary of the goings on of the different departments:

Media:

Although Media hasn't been very active, there have been regular RealTime podcasts coming out. The Media department has also launched two new publications, MangoZine and The Southern Journal.

Events:

This term has been eventful. We ran a chess tournament to kick it off. We then ran two multi-regional events: a joint event with XKI, and a joint Roleplaying event with Conch Kingdom.

Integration:

Integration launched the Acadmeny of the South Pacific. We also are currently running a MoRA recruitment campaign.

Roleplay:

Roleplay has relaunched TIR (Treasure Island Report), and has also worked with event planning to organise the TSP-CK RP event.

This term kicked off with the signing of our Treaty with XKI, allowing us to expand our allies in the defender sphere and engage with another prosperous UCR. We also aided in the planning of events with XKI and Conch Kingdom. Our staff and Minister have attended many events this term demonstrating our continued dedication to cultural involvement across NS. We have a few things in the pipeline and continue to engage with the broader NS community. As always, Omega is happy answer any and all questions.

The South Pacific Special Forces has been quite active on the battlefield over this term, participating in numerous liberations and defenses. While our numbers are not the largest of the militaries that we regularly work with, certainly we are at the forefront when it comes to leadership, and quite often it is the great and talented officers and commanders from the South Pacific that lead coalitions of defender militaries all across NationStates. Our military has also improved itself internally, with a more streamlined Discord server, multiple new soldiers having been promoted to, or being currently trained to become, Officers and Commanders, internal reports for performed missions, as well as the beginnings of a new Tidal Force to augment our soldier line-up. Overall, it has been a successful term.
