Cabinet Appointments for the February 2020 Cabinet Term

21 February 2020

Fellow South Pacificans,

The incoming Cabinet for the February 2020 term has appointed a number of individuals will serve in the Cabinet as junior members for the purposes of VI.15 of the Charter of the South Pacific.

Concrete Slab will serve as Secretary of the World Assembly. He will be responsible for advising the regional vote in the General Assembly and Security Council, as well as build a culture of World Assembly authorship within the South Pacific. The specifics of that position will be defined with a specific Cabinet Policy to be released at a later date.

Amerion will serve as Admiral General Cabinet Reporter. He will have access to Cabinet discussions and may directly interrogate both senior and junior members of Cabinet and provide reporting to various media outlets for the purposes of holding Cabinet accountable.

The Ministry of Regional Affairs will be served by Deputy Ministers Agalaesia, Rabbitz, and Penguin, with specializations in Cultural Affairs, Educational Affairs, and Media Affairs, respectively. In their role, they will assist Minister Jay in the duties of their assigned specialization and furthermore provide data and first-hand experience on the advantages and disadvantages of structuring the Regional Affairs ministry in such a way.

Qaz has displayed a consistent interest in Foreign Affairs matters for a considerable length of time and has been a contributor of the Foreign Affairs ministry for nearly 2 years, and will join Cabinet as Intern for Foreign Affairs.

phoenixofthesun14 has been one of the most active soldiers in the South Pacific Special Forces, and has nearly completed training for Officer rank. She will join Cabinet as Intern for Military Affairs.

Finally, Nakari will be leaving as Advisor for the Cabinet. She has been an enrichment of Cabinet in past terms, with a broad swath of knowledge in many areas, but will be hampered this term by the curse of Real-Life. We wish her all the best in her otherworldly pursuits and hope that she can offer her services once more in future terms.

As always, we welcome any and all questions that South Pacificans may have.

Faithfully yours,

The Cabinet
