| Does anyone actually use thread results? |

So - whenever I search stuff here, I am generally looking for specific posts. The default, however, when using the search bar, is to turn up thread results, which are absolutely useless for long threads where the term I am searching for might only turn up once, so I have to roll my eyes and go to advanced search and, because the default there is also to turn up threat results instead of post results, I will usually mess up there as well and have to change again... (this is admittedly partially cause most forums I am familiar with, such as the NS forum, use post search as default, so I never remember TSP is different.)
My question: does anyone actually use/want thread results as default, or find them more useful than post search? (and if not, is it possible to change the default to post search?)
Now that you bring it up, I feel the same way. The default should be on the posts.

I have used them before, when I'm searching for - for example - a debate thread. Know the search term, but don't need the individual posts.
Also, I'm realizing I'm confused, because for me the default is displaying by posts. Not threads. Tbf, I got confused. It defaults to posts for me and I am usually searching for ancient threads...
