ANNOUNCEMENT

NEW LOCAL COUNCILLORS GRANTED REGIONAL OFFICER POWERS

22 August 2020

Admiral Delegate General Amerion has instructed the South Pacific's Directorate of the World Factbook Entry to appoint Auphelia, Drystar, and Volaworand as interim Local Councillors.

This move gives effect to a recent injunction issued by the High Court where it was ordered that "the Election Commission certify the results of the Local Council election and declare interim winners, who shall hold office until such time as this appeal is concluded, so that the region is not unnecessarily stalled, waiting for the Court to publish the results of the appeal."

The A.D.G. looks forward to working cooperatively with the interim Local Council. He is most encouraged by the strong work of Legislators to resolve the current legal issues surrounding the conduct of gameside elections and hopes for a speedy resolution to what has no doubt caused much consternation for the gameside community.

The Delegate passes on his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the outgoing Local Councillor, Proctethia, and wishes them all the best for their future endeavours.
