Office of Legislator Rivers Island

This is the official office of Legislator Rivers Island. As a Legislator in the South Pacific, I want to be accessible to all citizens. I will use this office to release official press statements, hold meetings with citizens, and government officials, answer questions, and represent the citizens of The South Pacific. I am looking forward to serving you in the best way possible. Serving as a Legislator is more than just a position. It's serving to better The South Pacific, it's citizens, and leaving a better place for future generations after us! Don't be afraid to stop in, and say hello below!

Hello;

In regards to a recent vote of mine on A2009.04 Pax Patronus (with the Free Nations Region), I voted nay for several reasons. First off, this is a treaty with our region, and The Free Nation's Region. While I am rather new to this position, I read a lot of statements, and personal experiences with The Free Nation's Region from my colleagues. I must say, I am very inclined to say a treaty with this region is very premature. The Free Nation's Region just recently lost their founder who from I want I gathered to be toxic, along with a feeling of some unstableness to the region. While I am not putting them down by any means, I would like to see more improvement from this region before we sign a any kind of treaty. I want to say great work to our Minister of Foreign Affairs for their penmanship of this treaty. Just not right as far as a treaty with this region. We have until 17th for the vote to be official. I encourage my fellow Legislators' to vote Nay on this proposal. Thank you!

Election Statement, and More

TSP;

I was late in registering for the upcoming cabinet election. While there is disappointment, there is also optism. Why may you ask? Over the last week, I have been working hard to build a base to find my voice here in TSP, and in Spiritus. I finally got my very first article published by Nationstates Today! I teamed up with our military for the first time, and it was awesome. I must say it's absolutely special for someone new as I am to this game to be in such a wonderful opportunity. While these are great starts, that's not my biggest priority. While I am in no cabinet position, or working in the executive, I will increase my presence here in the Assembly to proudly represent the great citizens of TSP. I will work alongside the Prime Minister, and their respective cabinet to enhance our great region for future generations to come. I've been touring our ally regions, and using my writing to learn more about them. I excited for the holiday season as I know our region has some great things planned! Rivers Island is here to serve TSP in any way I can. But my success wasn't all from me. I want to thank my mentor, and good friend, Phoenix, for her wisdom, guidance, and helping me settle down in our community. I know she will do a great job as our Minister of Defense in the next term! The river shall always flow freely just like our great democracy! I can't wait for the next term to begin!
