BROWNIES Charles Boyle | Food Editor They're sweet and they're chocolatey. Need we say more? Here's SPINN's very own brownie recipe. Your Chef's Tip for today? Sprinkle some confectioner's sugar on top of your finished brownies for added flavour and presentation! INGREDIENTS • 350 grams of brown sugar • 250 grams of softened butter • 210 grams of all purpose flour • 150 grams of dark chocolate or chocolate chips • 50 grams of cocoa powder • 8 millilitres of vanilla extract • 3 eggs • Pinch of salt PREPARATION 1. Preheat the oven at 165ºC (330ºF). 2. Melt the butter and the chocolate in a water bath, then let cool for a few minutes. 3. Mix the eggs and the brown sugar until well incorporated. 4. Mix in the butter, the chocolate, the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to the mixture of the previous step. 5. Sift the flour and the cocoa powder, then mix in to the mixture of the previous step. 6. Grease a 23x23cm (9x9in) baking dish and cover it in parchment paper. 7. Pour in the mixture on the baking dish and put it in the oven for 40 minutes or until no longer liquid.
