REAL NEWS
LAMPSHADE BAR & GRILL HAS ITS BEST MONTH EVER
Gale Weathers | News Editor

B. Adger, Manager of the Lampshade Bar & Grill (LB&G), has reported that the restaurant has had its best month ever in terms of revenues, up 19% in September compared to the previous month. Mr Adger said that the increase in revenue was at least partly due to the rise in delivery orders, an option that was implemented earlier this year but received little promotion until August, when the LB&G began a strong advertising campaign throughout Government Island, particularly through panels in the busier sections of Market Street and Lampshade Street.

The LB&G has also seen a dramatic rise in regular customers; while attendance has been steadily rising during the year, there was a sharp rise following Amerion's election as Delegate. Colonel Llama, Amerion's Press Secretary, has said that "nothing makes our dear Supreme Leader, the Admiral Delegate General, happier than to see local businesses thrive". Delegate Amerion famously had dinner at the Lampshade Bar & Grill at the end of the first week of their term and called the food "the very best Market Street has to offer", reigniting interest in the restaurant and leading to long lines of eager customers.

Asked about the future of the LB&G, B. Adger is optimistic, saying that "after a rough patch we have shown Government Island that we're here to stay". There have been discussions about expanding the restaurant by means of buying the adjacent vacant lot as well as opening additional locations throughout the island, including a branch in the Legislative House for easy access by legislators. An aide to the Chair of the Assembly, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that "the Chair is excited about the idea of having a branch of the Lampshade Bar within the Legislative House" and suggested that a formal proposal would find full support from the Chair's Office.
