Terrorist Bases Found!
The UA Military has confirmed the locations of several Crimsion Liberation Front (CLF) bases and are planning military strikes against the terrorist bases. Members of the government have voiced their disapproval of the use of military action on the nation and fear that it could be used as an excuse to attack innocent civilians. The President assured the public and the government that the military in no way intends to detain or harm the citizens of the United Atlantic, and vows to protect and defend the rights of each citizen and prevent the nation from falling back into the dark times of oppression under the former Peoples Republic of the Atlantic.

As Tensions In The Rainbow Sea Rise, The President Sees Opportunity For Peace.
UA diplomats and military leaders met with leaders of the Frost Empire to discuss the military base on Anserisa. Although talks didn't seem to put the Frost Empire at ease the UA President in a press conference stated, "I am aware of the concern that the Frost Empire has. If I was them I would have concerns myself. But I see this as a perfect time to show the world that we are not just a nation that creates peace through strength, but also a nation that creates strength through peace. I hope that the Frost Empire will be willing to sit back down with us in order to turn two nations that don't seem to trust each other into allies that can bring peace across the region without having to remove our presence from the Rainbow Sea." Meanwhile construction of the early warning radar and ABM site has begun.

Defense Stocks Rise But Broader Market Sinks.
Defense stocks jumped as the conflict with the CLF escalates and tensions in the Rainbow Sea rise with ADR Weapons Systems (ADR) up 5.23% and Bionic Defense Company (BDC) up 2.46%. However the broader market is down lead by Glain Shipping Incorporated (GS) tumbling 13.71%.

United Atlanitc Is Getting A New Poker Face!
The UA Senate late last night officially voted to remove the gambling ban across the nation after years of what many said was a complete violation of the government's power. President Marik Vonkeler in a press conference stated, "The gambling ban was probably the most idiotic bill ever passed by this congress. Now 10 years of disinvestment in the industry will be undone and will create thousands of jobs and billions in revenue." The Senate passed the bill with a record 89-11 vote. The next step for the bill is the House of Representatives who will vote on it today before hopefully being signed into law tomorrow.

Sanctions Placed On Izaakia And Diplomatic Ties Cut.
After immense pressure from protesters demanding action over Izaakia's annexation of territories around the conflict, The United Atlantic has cut all diplomatic ties with the nation of Izaakia and imposed "crippling" sanctions on the country according to President Marik Vonkeler. The UA Embassy in Izaakia is to be evacuated immediately and members of the Izaakia Embassy were informed that the have 3 days to return to Izaakia. The UA Military which was already on high alert has begun to prepare for any possible escalation in the situation and has been moved to DEFCON 3.

Market Plunge Avoided Due To Confidence Of Gambling Bill Being Passed.
Despite the hightened tensions with Izaakia the stock market rose today lead by entertainment giant Xcom Incorporated (up 12.84%) due to hopes that the gambling bill will be passed. However shipping stocks plunged as the United Atlantic Shipping Industry Index (UASII) plunged over 17%.

First Two Mega Carriers UAS Aldorei And UAS Nova Fully Operational.
The first 2 of 5 planned mega carriers of the United Atlantic Navy have been deployed. The nuclear powered Titan class carriers are the largest ships in the UA and are armed with experimental railguns and coilguns instead of conventional weaponry and armored with an undisclosed super material. General Maverick Thomas called them the "Kings of the ocean".

Vonkeler Signs Gambling Bill Into Law, Ban On Gambling Lifted.
After the United Atlantic House of Representatives last night voted in favor to end the gambling ban in a historic vote of 498-2 and the Senate agreeing with the House version of the bill, the bill was signed into law this morining by President Vonkeler. The first casinos are to open sometime next year.

3rd Titan Class Mega Carrier To Be Given To Eareamland.
Despite the leaders of Earemland insisting that no debts needed to be payed for their help during The Great Drought, the President and many political leaders from both sides of the aisle agreed that the engineering marvel should be given to Eareamland. "This is not just a gift of thanks to Eareamland, but also a symbol of our great alliance that we hope will stand the tests of time" said President Vonkeler as he addressed Congress today.

First Major Battle With The CLF Is Under Way.
The first major battle with the CLF has begun 60 miles outside of the city of Anglar. Although officials are saying that there is no immediate threat to the city, civilians should be prepared in the case that the CLF does attempt to take the city.

Unemployment Projected To Hit Record Lows.
Unemployment hit a 40 year high of 22.13% on October of last year when The Great Drought was at its worst. The drought which began during May 2019 devestated farmland across the nation and nearly drained the nations fresh water supply and nearly brought the entire economy down with it. In April 2020 the drought finally ended and unemployment fell to pre-drought levels. In August the unemployment rate fell below 3% for the first time in history but ticked back up again slightly over the next 2 months. Now forecasters are predicting that the unemployment rate will fall from 2.99% in November to 2.61% this month.

Battle In Anglar Leaves Hundreds Dead! Civilians Fight Back!

After mortar fire struck the outskirts of the city of Anglar, CLF troops attempted to seize the industrial areas of the city. Vicious fighting broke out but not against the UA military, but against the armed civilians of Anglar who wouldn't stand by and let their city be taken by terrorists. Armed with what ever weapons they had at their disposal ruthlessly fought back the CLF until UA troops arrived to assist. This resistance by civilians prevented the CLF from capturing the industrial districts and prevent further casualties to UA civilians who were being gunned down.

Several New Gambling Companies Vying To Be The First Listed On The UA Stock Exchange.
As the new gambling bill has been put into effect new companies have been seeking to be the very first gambling company to be registered on the UA Stock Exchange. Several foreign gambling companies are also seeking to be listed on the exchange. To date no foreign company has ever been listed on the UA Stock Exchange

President Vonkeler Invites Frost Empire Leader Over For Second Round Of Security Talks Over The Rainbow Sea.
Despite the failure of UA diplomats to ease the minds of the Frost Empire over the military base in Anserisa, President Vonkeler is optimistic that the Frost Empire will be willing to discuss an alliance between the two nations. "I don't seek conflict with the Frost Empire. I believe that we have similar interests and are both concerned about the security of Cordilia. I am optimistic that we can come to a mutual understanding." Said President Vonkeler when asked by reporters.

Titan Class Mega Carrier's Weapons Far More Devastating Than Predicted.
An UA joint naval exercise with Eareamland tested the power of 2 Titan class mega carriers. Rail guns were fired upon old decommissioned ships with considerable armor. The projectiles were reported to tear into the armor effortlessly coming out the other side.

President To Personally Meet With "Brave And Heroic" Civilians Who Fought Against CLF Forces In Algar.
President Vonkeler is to meet with the thousands of civilians who fought for their city during the battle at Anglar. What was supposed to be a skirmish outside the city became a battle for the freedom of the city itself. Vonkeler is expected to leave for Anglar sometime this week.

Bunker Buster Destroys Massive CLF Underground Complex.
The UA military dropped a massive bunker buster bomb on a CLF underground complex 100 miles East of Anglar. The complex seemed to be a base of operations for the CLF and had been supplying logistics and materials to CLF soldiers. With the complex destroyed the UA military hopes to mop up any remaining pockets of fighters near Anglar.

Treaty of E'gai Ratified Formally Creating The BU Constitution.
After weeks of debate the members of the Bailtem Union came to an agreement on what the BU Constitution shall be like. President Vonkeler only had moments to respond after he signed the treaty as he and other UA political figures rushed to meet with the leaders of the Frost Empire. "This is a momentous occasion. We have all come together for the betterment of all nations in the BU and the UA will continue to participate in the BU". Vonkeler told the press as he boarded his plane.

Non Aggression Pact To Be Signed With Frost Empire.
After another round of diplomatic talks over the UA military bases in the Rainbow Sea, The UA and Frost Empire agreed to sign a non aggression pact between the two nations. Presideny Vonkeler told the press: "I may not be an expert in psychology, I'm not even an expert on human behavior. But I do know that humans can be inherently good, no matter their background. Let this pact be a reminder to all that sometimes we need to lay down our arms and embrace diplomacy and thoughtful discussion to solve our problems."

Huawan Leases UA Ports.
With both nations seeking security and with Huawanian shipping routes being threatened by Izaakia, the United Atlantic and the Peocracy of Huawan agreed to have UA ports in Aldorei be leased by Huawan to base small naval vessels to defend their trade ships for $1 billion for the next 10 years.
