My Dear Minions,

It is my pleasure to present to you the second edition of the Delegate's Briefing, the fortnightly summary of the Supreme Leader's government's activities.

There are several matters, in particular, I would like to highlight to you:

The Gameside Community is current voting on an amendment to the Elections Act. This amendment seeks to clarify the voting status of members of the South Pacific Special Forces (our regional military). If you are a member of the World Assembly, I encourage you to have a read of the amendment and vote here. If you aren't yet a member of the WA, you can click here to learn how to apply and help advance both your own nation's international standing as well as further strengthen the security of the Coalition.

As you will see in the Government's Record section of this Briefing, much has transpired in the executive branch. Prime Minionster Witchcraft and Sorcery convened a public Cabinet meeting and opened it up to a forum for all Minions to attend. The plans outlined and discussions that unfolded provide Minions with an excellent picture of where the region is heading. Among the many initiatives brought up in the meeting and which have since been implemented are a Unified Application System (a one-stop-shop for Minions to apply to serve in government), a public service record of the South Pacific Special Forces, and a regional survey of gameside conducted by the Ministry of Culture, among several others. I look forward to seeing the fruits of these initiatives and thank the Minionsters for the hard work in service of Minions everywhere.

It is hoped that this portrait will show Minions how large and dynamic this region is. What does the Portrait show?

⦿ Each circle represents a nation. Each grey line with a small arrow between the circles represents an endorsement. The direction of the arrow indicates who has endorsed who.

⦿ The size of each circle represents the number of endorsements the nation represented by the circle has. The larger the size, the higher the endorsement count.

⦿ The colour of each circle represents how many nations are currently being endorsed by that nation. The cooler the colour, the higher the number of nations being endorsed.

⦿ Minionster of Defence HumanSanity briefed the region in a major address on the 9^th of August. The Minionster detailed the successful liberation of the region Chaylia by the South Pacific Special Forces. Speaking of the operation, Minionster HumanSanity declared that the liberation, "demonstrated that despite the standard summer slump, the SPSF and its defender allies are alive and well, even as the capabilities and forces of invaders suffer. Two SPSF partners put up all-time record numbers of liberators for this effort and the SPSF itself had a total of 12 different liberators participate in the liberation" and that they are "proud to report the region of Chaylia is free and is already back at work on their own self-governance. The Tidal Force will remain in the region to support its Delegate for the next several days and ensure that our work in the region is wrapped up nicely. Meanwhile, members of the Tsunami Force are back at work handling standard update operations and will be ready for the next raider offensive."

⦿ Prime Minionster Witchcraft and Sorcery convened a public Cabinet meeting at the Minion Plaza Discordia. The monthly public forums feature the whole Cabinet with the Minionsters updating the Coalition about the happenings in their respective Minionstries before opening up the floor to questions from Minions.

⦿ The Ministry of Culture in conjunction with the Ministry of Engagement distributed a regional survey to the gameside Minion community. Speaking of the survey, Minionster of Engagement Aviatta noted that "it's important to us, and to the Ministry of Culture in particular, that all South Pacificans have the opportunity to participate in our events and enjoy our wonderful community as best as they can."

⦿ The Assembly voted to promote the then-Commander Minion of the South Pacific Special Forces Witchcraft and Sorcery to the rank of General Minion. In their nomination of the Commander Minion, Minionster of Defence HumanSanity said that in "thinking about the attributes I look for in a General of the SPSF -- dedication, proven operational leadership, wisdom, and active engagement -- I can think of no better candidate than Witchcraft and Sorcery." The vote concluded with 32 in favour and 4 against.

⦿ The Council on Regional Security appointed Holy Free—who most recently served as the Minionster of Culture—as the ninth member of the South Pacific Coral Guard, an institution that assists the Council on Regional Security in maintaining the Coalition's safety and security.

⦿ The Ministry of Defence launched a publicly accessible Service Record of all past and present members of the South Pacific Special Forces. The Record was compiled with the assistance of Officer Aviatta and former Minionsters of Defence, Aumeltopia and United States of Vietnam.

⦿ The Assembly voted to recall Minion Chair Purple Hyacinth for their long absence from the office and resulting deriliction of duty. The vote concluded with 28 in favour and 3 against.

⦿ The Cabinet launches a Unified Application System for government service. In their announcement of the launch, Minionster of Engagement Aviatta asked "Have you ever wanted to get more involved with the government of the South Pacific? Now it is easier than ever! Where our previous systems called for applicants to lodge forum posts, Google forms, or send direct message in a dozen different places, your hard working leadership has reached an agreement to consolidate everything into a singular, easy to use system."

⦿ World Assembly Minions goes to the polls on a vote to amend the Elections Act to clarify voting by South Pacific Special Forces in gameside elections.

At the time of publication, there are two proposals at vote in the World Assembly. In consultation with the Office of WA Legialtion (OWL), the Supreme Delegacy has cast the above votes for these respective proposals.
