There are several matters, in particular, I would like to highlight to you: We look back with some amusement at this year’s nuclear festivities which ended in a predictably apocalyptic fashion. Despite our best efforts and several thousand specially-constructed nuclear bunkers, the South Pacific’s faction, the Potato Alliance, was not victorious. And in this nuclear aftermath, we salute the valiant efforts of Minions everywhere as they desperately attempted to ward off the torrential onslaught of nuclear weapons. Having rebuilt our region in a shockingly miraculous time, we now convene once again for the election season. This time, for the election of our regional leadership, the Cabinet of the South Pacific. Comprising of the Prime Minister and several other important ministries, the Cabinet is in charge of managing the regional functions of the Coalition. With this election cycle seeing a number of Ministers choosing not to run for re-election, the result may very well be that we have one of the greatest generational changes in leadership. Minions everywhere are strongly encouraged to head to Election HQ to watch the oldest extant democracy in action! We also give our hearty congratulations to Kanatian Percocet, Azkilandia, and Raidener having finished in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively, in the October Endorsement Day! A brilliant effort all round to those who participated! It is hoped that this portrait will show Minions how large and dynamic this region is. If the nation is too small to see below, Minions can click on the image to view the full-size version and then zoom. What does the Portrait show? ⦿ Each circle represents a nation. Each grey line with a small arrow between the circles represents an endorsement. The direction of the arrow indicates who has endorsed who. ⦿ The size of each circle represents the number of endorsements the nation represented by the circle has. The larger the size, the higher the endorsement count. ⦿ The colour of each circle represents how many nations are currently being endorsed by that nation. The cooler the colour, the higher the number of nations being endorsed. The Potato Alliance (which the South Pacific was a member) was utterly deciminated by the Crabs of the Apocalypse. Overall, in the period of 24 hours, 2,751,847 nuclear weapons were launched, 704,807 nukes of which were shot down, and 2,047,432 strikes were successfull. ⦿ 1 October | The Cabinet Elections has commenced with the beginning of the Declaration of Candidacy Period. The elections, which will conclude on the 14th of October, will see a new executive branch elected by the Assembly to lead the region for the next four months. ⦿ 1 October | The Southern World Assembly Initiative released Volume 38 of the SWAN Awards. There were several notable nations recognised for their achievements in August: Arscanesia (most endorse buttons clicked), Nyxonia (highest average endorsement count), and Osheiga (most nations endorsed). ⦿ 4 October | The October 2021 Endorsement Day concluded with Kanatian Percocet, Azkilandia, and Raidener having finished in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively. The Endorsement Days celebrates exchanging endorsements in the Coalition and the winner are recognised for having endorsed the most Minions in a forty-eight hour period. At the time of publication, there are two proposals at vote in the World Assembly. In consultation with the Office of WA Legialtion (OWL), the Supreme Leader has cast the above votes for these respective proposals. In the past two weeks, the Admiral Delegate General voted as follows: A complete record of the High Autocrat's votes is available here. 'No Rec' or No Recommendation indicates a vote where, in the absence of a recommendation from the OWL, the Admiral Delegate General did not immediately cast a ballot in the World Assembly.
