Confidence is everything

The Sænat after the debate last night

We are taught, as children, that confidence is everything. One of the greatest betrayals is being confident in someone, just to be let down. Dr. Erwitto Fircenza found this out the hard way as yesterday evening The Sænat confirmed that it had no confidence in him.

The Prime Minister opened the debate with describing the status quo. Hea said:"Tonight we meet because the institutions of our democracy are not legitimized by our people anymore. The faith we had when we ascended to our offices is now, sadly, gone." He continued by describing the work hsi administration has done and would do if it stayed in office. "The situation in our country demands action, but it demands consistency and a stable governemnt as well. Should this very house, declare tonight that it no longer has confidence in the work my ministers and I do, it will not only be me who will lose their seat, but many of you aswell. Therefore I appeal to you, to vote tonight to reaffirm the confidence in this government, as anything else could have catastrophic consequences for our country. Thank you!"

It was then time for the leader of the opposition to step up and confront the PM. "What the Prime Minister has forgotten tonight is that he is the bearer of the responsibility of the work his government does. But more importantly he is also the bearer of the resposibility of the work hsi governemnt doesn't do!", followed with applause, he continues, "And now he must stand infront of the nation and take the responisibility which comes with the office. This honourable House now has to decide whether we still have the confidence in him to fulfill his duty as the Prime Minister. This question has risen because of the incompetence and total isolation of the goverment from the real world. Whilst real dangers lurk around this administration doesn't do anything and are only dealing with themselves! Our nation doesn't deserve this kind of a disgrace! We cannot trust this administration anymore, to fulfill its duties to which it is bound by their oath, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you ladies and gentlemen!"

After other fractions concluded their speeches, the vote was opened. After a half an hour the votes were counted and the result stood. Only 135 Sænators (35,7%) expressed their confidence to the Prime Minister. This means the PM now has the ability to ask the President to dissolve the Sænat within 21 days since the vote, which is very likely at the moment.

This vote marks a change in our countrys politics. New partys - e.g. Reform Eflad! - are gaining popularity and are to be reckoned with.

Change is acoming!

Exactly a month ago, on the fiftteenth of march - ironically the Ides of March - Dr. Erwitto Fircenza was struck down by the Sænat in a confidence vote. This meant new elections, where the new Reform Eflad! party came out as the biggest winner. The face of this party is Hanna Tirng, the designated Prime Minister of the new "Reform Coalition".

After the election the Socialists declined having coalition talks with RE! and the Liberals (LfE), which meant that the only real possible coalition is the one now having the majority in the Sænat: Reform Eflad!, Greens and Liberals for Eflad will now have the say.
What this new coalition brings has been laid out in the respective agreement. Named "Eflad - a new future" it is mainly oriented on building a strong economy based mostly on the social private market which is sustainable, ecologicaly as well as socially. Furthermore the Refom coalition wants to make the political world in Eflad a lot more transparent by introducing a lobbyist register. Hanna Tirng presented the coalition agreement today in a press conference with the party secretaries.

The coalition agreement reading "Eflad - a new future. Alliance for reform."

This liberal approach by the new government isn't only national but international. The designated PM had met with the Myrian President Mara Khuri, the Stoinian Minister of Foreig Affairs Tiberiu Mocanu, and Njongai Muanko, the Sallodesian Secretary of State. Tarnig held a press conference announcing major projects with likes of a new massive shipyard in Doraret, and in Selpe, where SeaLink Solutions will take over a bancrupt shipyard. Not only economically but culturaly the four nations have found together as travel between the nations will be visa-free and Airlines have already announced new routes. Technology has not been left out as four universities (Cræfoi Polytechnicum, Bulowayo Institute of Technology, Kandul Palitehnik Kolij and Universitatea Politehnică Sinaia) will start a partnership in developing new hydrogen based cars with a production site in Cræfoi by Dolocia.

This new government brings new life into the Efladian economy, which has been stalling the past few years. Leaving the enthusiasm apart, the Reform Coalition will face major difficulties in the process of reforming the whole Efladian economy. These recent developments and the consequences will be what the success of Eflad will be measured by.

Just yesterday, Henna Tirng, the designated Prime Minister, presented the agreement of the new "Reform Coalition". As is tradition, the PM to-be announces their cabinet on the following day. Henna Tirng did no different and today in a press conference she reavealed the new faces of the soon to be government.

The Prime Minister has chosen Dr. Frank Tærn as her deputy and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Tærn will take the Ministry over from Dr. Ofea Foge. Dr. Tærn is an accomplished politician who worked as a teacher befor jumpstarting his career by becoming the Federal Minister of Fredoast for the Greens. He is the Green partys leader since 2019. The Ministry of Finance will be taken over by the Liberals for Eflad party secretary Mirko Firnt marking a change in the Efladian economic policy, as Firnt has already announced a shift from the socialist economy to a social market economy.

Something is rotten in the state of Eflad
joint article of Anna Freo, Ivan Rego (Telegraf) and Luka Eri and Tanja Toti (The Seeker)

It is early morning as the four of us meet at the entrance of a small building in Tehnograd. Yet. The building isn't very remarkable. The buidling is one of those considered to be "old built". Probably 1960s. Why are we here then? The people in this building have a story that no-one knows about. Yet. And we have made it our task to present it to the world the best we can
The Beginning
The story we are presenting here is one of deep intrigues, affairs and abuse. Not only in a political but physical sense. Not by regular people but by people who hold the highest powers in our nation. In the four months of our investigation and research we have found nothing less than the most despicable things by those who should be held to the highest of standards.

Our research begun around five months ago when we recieved a message from, what we knew at that moment was a member of the army.

In the message the member of the army told us that they have proof for abuse in the Defence Ministry. It immideately got our attention. We werer obviously intrigued but also cautious. We weren't sure whether it was true or someone was just playing a trick on us. So we started writing with our mysterious counterpart. After recieving several photo materials we decided to meet. Our first meeting consisted nothing more than just a slight bump and an envelope being slid into my hand. The photos convinced us and after some persuasion we settled on a date for an interview.
