VOTING BOOTH
Voting will be held via a first round of approval vote open to all legislators who were accepted prior to the start of the declarations period. Please consult the Elections Act for the most recent information on how the election is held.
HOW TO VOTE
Legislators may vote by listing the candidates whom they approve without regard to any order of preference. Legislators may cast either a public vote or a private vote. A public vote is printed as a reply to this thread and is publicly accessible to all. A private vote is sent directly to the Election Commissioner and is assigned a tracking number known only to each voter so that they can track their vote once the official result is published.

This is a non-exhaustive list of scenarios under which the Election Commissioner will exercise their discretion to decide whether a vote is valid or invalid:

INTERPRETATION OF VOTES
This is a non-exhaustive list of scenarios under which the Election Commissioner will exercise their discretion to decide whether a vote is valid or invalid:
Valid
- A vote with multiple approvals for the same candidate. The approvals will be counted as a single approval.
- A vote with approvals for candidates not listed on the official ballot or candidates whose names are not spelt as they are spelt in the official ballot, with allowance for differences in punctuation. The invalid approvals will be excluded from the official count but all other valid approvals within the vote will be counted.
- A vote with approvals for the option to re-open nominations alongside approvals for other candidates. The vote will be excluded from the official count.
- A vote that has been edited. The vote will be excluded from the official count.
- A vote cast after the end of the voting period as stated in the deadline within this post. The vote will be excluded from the official count.
- A vote cast by an ineligible individual. The vote will be excluded from the official count.
