My fellow Council Members,

Two days ago, the Vercopan government reached out to the Karnetvorian foreign ministry with the intention of establishing diplomatic relations with Karnetvor. We respectfully rejected the offer of course. The Vercopan envoy accused us of hypocrisy because we had diplomatic relations with the Constitutional Monarchy of Zadiner, which according to them, uses slaves. We again denied it, saying that there was yet no definitive evidence that they supported slavery and that they were denied accession to the SCO because they couldn't offer evidence to the contrary. The Vercopan envoy then admitted that Zadiner 1) has relations with Vercopa, and 2) supplies them with slaves; according to the envoy:

"They allow slavery, they engage with us, and they supply us with slaves. Those are the questions asked by honorable Mr. Vale [Jeffrey Vale, Kringalian representative to the SCO] and ambassador Dean [Zadinerian representative during the accession process] said "Yes"

We of Vercopa could easily verify the dealings of Zadiner, they have conducted these deals with us. If you'd like evidence, we are able to provide you with some, you may check it as long as you want, the evidence we may provide you is authentic. Maybe then you shall take your words back. The photo released [the famous photo of the Ryccian girl in chains], it's behind one of our camps, one of the most heavily guarded areas in the state of Vercopa. We can definitely verify that it's our concentration camp in the outskirts of the city of A'kir."

We would like to propose a thorough investigation of Zadiner's dealings with Vercopa, and possibly sanctions or a trade embargo against them.

As much as we would agree with such an action, we have no authority over Zadiner, as they are not a member of this council. Perhaps we could request that the UF/CESTA look into these allegations in a resolution?

Valarie Braddock

We would support that.

This Council certainly don't have any jurisdiction over them; however there are actions it can take. We could impose sanctions on Zadiner until it offers definitive evidence showing the allegations are false, for example.

"It is hardly appropriate to sanction a nation simply on the suspicions that an unproven allegation might be true. Do we have any actual evidence of this besides the politically motivated statement of Vercopa?"
