As per the Charter:

Charter, Section IV Wrote:2. The Assembly will elect a Chair by a public majority vote for a term lasting four months. The Chair is responsible for maintaining order and decorum, and helping guide Assembly debate into the creation of bills. If a Chair is recalled or otherwise not in office, a new Chair will be elected by majority vote for a new term lasting four months. The Election Commission will be responsible for organizing Chair elections.

Thus, as there is no other outline for the Chair of Assembly elections, the Election Commission has decided to use the Instant-runoff Voting system to achieve the majority required in the Charter.

The voting period is from September 7 20:00 EDT to September 10 20:00 EDT
