Hi everyone,
So I discussed organization of SPSF which includes this forum and the Discord server as one of my goals and would like your thoughts on the following;
First, the Discord - let's discuss (without looking at the mess that currently exists) what channels and roles we need.
This is what I envision:
General Channels
- Introduction\Welcome channel: Channel that states a brief bio\symbol of the SPSF and the rules
- Demilitarized Zone: Channel that functions as arrivals area for general players where they may request maskings etc
-
Ministry Internal
- Command Central: Channel for discussion available only to internal SPSF ranks
- Orders: Channel for orders\pile instructions
- Reconnaissance: Channel for intelligence sharing and discussion
- MoMA HQ: Channel for MoMA, General Corps, and advisers\CRS team to discuss
(also alternative names - MoMA Citadel and\or MoMA Bunker)
- SPSF Gym: Channel for trainers and trainees
(also alternative names - Training Grounds or Barracks or Boot Camp)
- Roleplay: Channel for SPSF roleplay missions and quests
- Reports: Channel for data collection and reports
Ministry External
- Cantina: A general chat space for SPSFers and allied and friend military personnel
- Allied Bunker: A restricted chat space for allies (and friends) to discuss ops as a group
- Allies and Friend Channels for discussion of and cooperation on Ops (based on region\organization\military):
- The Grey Wardens (TGW)
- Lily (Lily)
- The North Pacific (NPA)
- The Conch Kingdom (TOP)
- Union of Democratic States (USD)
- The Rejected Realms (RRA)
- Spiritus (SDF)
- The Pacific (NPO)
Roles
SPSF Internal
Emeritus (MoMA or General)
Civilian
Trainee
Soldier
Officer
Commander
General
Admin
External
Allied\Friendly Personnel (roles masked based on the following)
- The Grey Wardens (TGW)
- Lily (Lily)
- The North Pacific (NPA)
- The Conch Kingdom (TOP)
- Union of Democratic States (USD)
- The Rejected Realms (RRA)
- Spiritus (SDF)
- The Pacific (NPO)
Neutral Role - Role for non-allies or friends
(Needs a better\military name)
Obviously I want a channel for ceremonies\awards and wonder if that should be separate or merged with command central. Do we need a separate announcements channel or would DMZ suffice? For the External channels - do we need one for each allied region\organization (as we have in the FA Discord) or do we keep the old system that divides by ideology (Defender\Raider\Independent)?
Let me know your own thoughts and any particular wording. I see so much of our government work happens on Discord now and think of these servers as both central structures now, legacies for the future TSPers, and a historical repository of happened and how.
Thank you
