As part of the new military code, we need to publish rank requirements, so let's get on that. The General Corps will decide what the new RRs are, though any soldier or officer is welcome to contribute their ideas, comments, and thoughts!

To start with, let's take the old RRs that I had established around this time last year, copied below adjusted for the new Commander role:

Quote:For the most part, SPSF troops will be promoted to a rank when they have trained for, and used at least once in practice for SPSF, all of the necessary skills listed below for the followup ranks. Note that discplinary measures may result in a temporary demotion or may delay the automatic promotion to a rank.

Trainee
The first rank. Any new SPSF troops will automatically receive this rank.

Soldier
Understand update, move, move + endorse, switch during update, detag

Officer
Chasing tag raiders with at least 3 successful defenses, tagging with at least 3 hits spaced no further than 10 minutes apart, triggering

Commander
Understand influence, show excellent leadership skills, organize and lead at least 3 full operations with at least 10 participants.

These were a good starting point at the time, but are woefully inadequate now. Specifically, we need to separate the "triggering" skill into regular triggering and API triggering, add subjective criteria, GCR liberation strategies, griefing strategies (flash password, flash refound), etc.

Discuss! Happywide
Also suggest adding some sort of "time" spent between soldier and officer and officer and commander.  Time = commitment.
Time as in number of days, or time as in number of (say) updates or ops or such? You can get 14 updates done in a week or in a year Tounge
Use update number for the time requirement. As only updates are counted.
Aye, I agree with that for the same reason, though it might be an idea to cap it at some high time frame (for example, updates within the past 6 months) so that old rusty peeps can't come back and claim stuff they shouldn't have.
Agree on number of updates + some sort of "updated x amount of times in the past 6 months"

Trainee - 5 -10 updates to get to Soldier
then it ramps up a little
to 100s?

I know Yuns told me for Officer I need an x amount which I then got.
*poke*

We still need to do this <_<
Very draftish (also Roavin you might want to add the specific skills that you posted in OP since even I don't know some of them)

Rank Requirements

Trainee
The first rank. Any new SPSF troops that have applied on the forums and joined Discord will automatically receive this rank.
Skills: Available during update time and for training. Able to create a set of puppets and switch WA.
Time: Must go through training within 1(2?) months of applying to retain rank.

Soldier
A soldier has shown their mettle on the battlefield and updates independently for the SPSF.
Skills: Understand update, move, move + endorse, switch during update, detag
Time: 25 updates for the SPSF

Officer
Skills: Chasing tag raiders with at least 3 successful defenses, tagging with at least 3 hits spaced no further than 10 minutes apart, triggering
Time: 100 (50?) updates for the SPSF

Commander
Skills: Understand influence, show excellent leadership skills, organize and lead at least 3 full operations with at least 10 participants.
Time: 250 (100?) updates for the SPSF
Somy adds:
[3:19 AM] Somyrion: Are we going to separate out triggering and add the other things?
[3:20 AM] Somyrion: because as of last post I don't see that :stuck_out_tongue:
[3:22 AM] Somyrion: Another thing I don't see (which is at a much more basic level) is crossing/prepping for operations
[3:24 AM] Somyrion: "knowledge of appropriate tools"?
[3:24 AM] Somyrion: (e.g. breeze, move+endorse assist script, update sheet, 20xx, whatever other things you generals use :stuck_out_tongue: )(edited)

Note that I made Soldier harder to attain. That's by design.
I also know that there are still things missing, particularly with the Commander rank.
