There are times for everything. Time to wake up, time to go to school or work, time for dinner, and time to go to bed. And there’s a time in TSP right now, too. Do you know what time that is? It’s time for a new voice in Foreign Affairs. So, hey. [Image: plP2cwiWR8y387ABt3-S_ukGHIPMCeeOWwDuKEpQ...8qGMRyxobn]

making foreign affairs fun

Foreign Affairs isn’t naturally fun. That’s a given. But it’s also a problem. Like I said before, we need new perspectives to FA. How are we going to do that? By attracting more members. And how will we attract members? By making FA fun!
Currently, a big problem with FA’s un-fun-ness is that barely anyone can have their voice heard. That’s going to change! I’m going to do a couple things to make this happen:
  • Have a team of advisors advise the MoFA, much like the FA Team structure in Serres’ term. Those advisors and the Cabinet will be one of the last and most prominent voices for key FA decisions, the last decision coming from the MoFA, of course ?
  • Calling in the ambassador to that region when a decision has to go down regarding that region. Ambassadors know their region well, and they should be able to demonstrate that
  • A section in weekly AMAs where the MoFA can chill and answer questions from legislators and citizens. Sometimes the best takes come from the ones on the outside!
  • An art studio channel in the MoFA discord where citizens can design posters, logos, and shields to represent the MoFA.

TSP’s allies talking to TSP, 2021, colorized.
I
don’t ever believe in isolationism. Like, ever. Never ever. Friends are fun! Smile  And I know we’re not at that point in TSP yet, but with our pessimistic attitude in FA nowadays, we could go towards that track. That’s why I believe that TSP should keep an open mind in FA. No more calling any extending of relations off because of something that happened 5 years ago! I think that because of that, there are some regions that might be open to being closer with us, but we don’t even know it! If I was MoFA, I’d look for those regions, and then, when found, reach out to them! No, not kiss them on the running track. Just a text. And if they respond positively to that text, then we can invite them over to our house to watch Sixteen Candles Smile (i.e, consulate) and then we annex them!
be gone, npo!
TSP closed embassies with the New Pacific Order after the Osiris spy scandal was released. That’s all well and good. But if we keep up our current NPO-like views on certain positions, I’m afraid that in a couple years we and the NPO could look like this:[Image: 5Mfv0i6io3h5IBUq6qXZz5NwRy39LpdOvEbYuD5Z...4EVVDJWmbB]
I don’t want that. Obviously. So that’s why I think that TSP should look for any sort of ties with the NPO, sever them, and encourage our allies to do the same. Whether this will escalate to working with the APC and such, I don’t know. But I know that TSP and the NPO are currently to close for comfort. We've already unfollowed them. Let's block them.  and then post a video of them making out in the hot tub with TEP!

Skeptical
95% of the time on NSGP, when someone says something about TSP, I’m like this:[Image: I3DDBcbNDV_8fZRoHExxW17BQWPaXuYwJnmaVlq1...FfhRoCKAxd]
NSGP is full of people with personal grudges against TSP members. But mostly, it’s full of people who are just jealous of the coolest kid in school! (i.e, us.) But NSGP can still matter sometimes. Our embassy forumside is our PR office, and potential allies could be driven away by how we handle ourselves there. That’s why I believe TSP should appoint someone with significant NSGP experience to be the TSP ambassador to the NSGP community. This is going to be an esteemed position that only the best can do well, as it’ll require a lot of chillness and coolness. But I think that having that will benefit our 'PR office' in the long run.
That’s it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them via the forum, Discord, TG, or Snapchat :p
P.S., I luv y’all,
Always and forever, Prarie <3

(and s/o to Imki for making my campaign logo!  Luv  Heart )
Under the Elections Act, here is my current Conflict of Interest-
Nice campaign son :o

Now, time for me to hit you with a hard ball.

You’ve done a good job retaining activity and working in the region these past months however, you are still a new face in the region. FA often requires an understanding of the complex history that TSP has with the rest of NS and balancing that understanding with a mind geared for making TSP stand out in a positive way. What do you plan to do to combat your lack of history on NS/ what have you been doing to educate yourself on the Foreign Nations TSP deals with daily?

Every single day I learn more about FA and the NSGP community. I think we're at the point where a decent amount of NSGP heavyweights recognize me, so that's a good start ;p
Discord has been a really great tool for learning about other regions. With Discord, I can interact with leaders of respective regions with just a few clicks. When you see me with the green icon on Discord, but not posting in the Legislators Lounge? That means i'm studying the servers of other regions, looking at how they think of TSP, and in a lot of cases, how I can change it. Seriously. That's how I lurk 90% of the time.
I plan to combat it by being a good listener, especially at the start of my term. There are so many people in TSP with knowledge of every focal point of NSGP, dating back decades. They will be a tremendous source of info. However, I don't think my lack of NS history will be too large of an obstacle. After all, I think we need a new perspective. I'm not ignoring history, rather offering we look towards the future and keep an open mind.

I owe a lot of my FA mentoring to my opponents. Somyrion has been a fabulous mentor, person to talk to, and helping hand since the beginning. Glen, just with his presence and casual FA posts, puts so much more knowledge into my mind about the NS world and our deep and complex relations with other regions.
Somy once told me that I know i'm ready to run for MoFA when I can go into a debate in #neutral-ground or #military-gameplay in the NSGP server and offer what I think TSP's stance on the issue should be and what I think about the issue. And I believe I am at that point  Cheese

I'm so proud ;-;
- What regions do you think our region should be closer or sign treaty?
- What regions do you think we should distance away from?
- What enemy regions should we improve our relations with?
- Are there any future collaboration events with our allies/non-allies on your plan?
- How will you handle NSGP if a drama happens?
- Are there any multilateral treaty do you wish to do?
- What are your opinions on forming/joining a WA alliance block like WALL?

1-I think that we should really get closer to Europe. They have WA clout and have been one of the most active in our Embassy Row. I think a treaty with them would be a great move. I also think that TWP isn't as toxic as it is portrayed. I've hung out with many TWPers since the Secret Santa festival and they have a great community, plus a lot of them would like to further relations with TSP.
2-The NPO, obviously. I covered that in my campaign. But I also think that we should be keeping watch on TEP. Their stance has changed a bit after Fedele has been elected, and there is a community so toxic there that our own ambassador was driven out. However, I think we can move closer to TEP if we have a more community and TSP-friendly Delegate elected there in these new elections.
3-As I said before, TWP. I also think that Europeia would be open to warming up relations. Again, they have a great community, and some of their closest allies are our closest allies.
4-I think that maybe as a precursor for warming relations, we could do a festival with TWP. I think it would go really well and show how our communities could get along. I also think that a Fenda Festival of some sort to spike interest in the military with TGW and XKI.
5-I will have our NSGP Ambassador look at the situation in depth, then advise the MoFA Team and I on how and what our statement should be on the matter. I will also, along with our NSGP Ambassador, defend TSP and say what needs to be said in the neccesary threads. We shouldn't go soft on NSGP, and bow down to what our opponents want. We will defend TSP and our position on the matter to the death.
6. I think a treaty with the North Pacific and Europe could be a good idea, as it will join 3 allies. And maybe we could also revisit a multilateral treaty with LazCorp and another ally.
7. I think it's a great idea! I don't think joining WALL would be the best move unless Balder
revokes their membership, but maybe we could convince TNP or Europe to join a bloc with say, us, TEP, and Laz.
- Your incumbent opponent had moved away from the FA team model, and your other opponent does not approve of it either. Why do you want to go back to the FA Team model?
- What NPO-like views do we have that you'd want to change? What NPO ties do we still have that you think we should sever? In which way are we still close to the NPO?
- How do you intend to react towards TEP who did not end their alliance with NPO?
- Can you explain why you think TSP and TWP are not close at this time?
- When you say "some of their closest allies are our closest allies" with respect to TWP/Euro, who are you referring to?
- In which way do you think we should be involved in the APC-NPO war?
- Is there anything in the campaigns for Prime Minister candidates over which you expect there to be conflict should both of you get elected?

Why do you think TNP would pull out of WALL?
