Why is gustaveberr the only candidate? I saw a few people be nominated.
Nobody else accepted their nominations.
I have split this, since the voting thread is ONLY FOR VOTING.
GustaveBerr is the only candidate because he is the only one that accepted his nomination. If you want nominations to be reopened, just vote for the Reopen Nominations option.
When u nominate someone do they receive a message or do they have to look at the thread to know?
They would have to look at the thread.

Well, theoretically, you could PM them, TG them, tell them directly, over IRC, over Skype. But in order for it to be official, you have to post the nomination in the nomination thread first.

I have to follow along with PH here. Only because the only way to notify someone would be through the EC and then we'd get into all sorts of hairy questions about notifications and length of time and what not.
But, maybe, we can suggest a general sort of ... "best practices" to PM people who nominate?
I like that idea a lot! I know in Spiritus I sometimes tell people they've been nominated for something and they're surprised; I would assume that's a common thing... Heck, maybe I'll take this idea back there too.
