Hello, frens! It is I, Phoenix, here with a campaign to be your Minister of Defense, once again.

Now, In my term, we have seen the SPSF grow in size substantially, with more active updaters than I have seen during my time in the SPSF. We are seeing so many enthusiastic faces, it honestly warms my heart right up to see how far we've gone as a regional military.  We have seen the light, and it is time for us to chase that light, and that is what I plan to do over the next term.

THE LIGHT WE SAW:

Now, last term, I know I've made a few promises. Here, I will review them for you all to tell you what has happened, and what needs more work.
Quote:My plan for the SPSF next term is fairly simple. I plan to continue the current momentum that the SPSF carries. I plan to continue the brilliant ideas of the current Minister. I want to encourage camaraderie among the various members of the SPSF with the occasional off-update event. I will recruit more aggressively for the Tidal Force and the Updater force. And finally, I will want to build and maintain a song playlist for the SPSF, with different songs everyone enjoys.
  1. Continuing the current SPSF momentum: This, I think, HAS happened. We are likely at our most active, on the field, keeping raider groups at bay, whether through chasing active raiders, detagging raider propaganda from regions, and showing up for liberations.
  2. Continuing the brilliant ideas of the [past] minister: South Asians had a wonderful idea as Minister of Military Affairs for RP in the SPSF. And, through my term, we worked hard on developing a story and lore to follow, and are just at the cusp of letting SPSF's RP soar. I believe that, within a term, we will see this finally take off.
  3. Encouraging camaraderie among the various members of the SPSF: I believe that we in the SPSF definitely feel more like a tighter-knit group of friends than ever, though we haven't quite got the off-update events done quite yet, though we have done a few.
  4. More aggressive recruiting: I will admit, this hasn't quite happened. My recruitment has mostly been for the updater force, via the weekly reports that I haven't published in a little while.
  5. SPSF playlist: The playlist exists, but it isn't all-too prominent.

THE GUIDING LIGHT:

With that out of the way, I would like to now elaborate things that I would do if given a 2nd term, or ask the Minister to accomplish should I not be elected.
  • Priority will be given to the things I haven't accomplished yet this previous term.  Finally seeing SPSF's RP start.  Seeing more off-update activities with everyone.  I plan to appoint someone to really take charge with SPSF recruitment, and see the Tidal Force really come to life.
  • In addition to this, I know a few of you have said that you enjoy the weekly reports.  However, I know they haven't quite been weekly as of late, as I need more help on writing things (A birb only has so much creativity, you know!), and along with that, I want to really encourage EVERYONE in our military to write reports.  Imagine a weekly report that comprises of the creative reports of all SPSFers rather than just one birb's creativity?  In addition to this, getting a summary post of the RP from that week in that report would be fun too.  And that is my ultimate goal regarding reports and RP.
  • In addition to the internal efforts, I do want to work more with our friends in other regions.  We have many independent and defender friends, why not do more stuff with them?  Detag runs, joint training, and just general military parties kind of thing?  Build our relationships with other militaries in NS, and maybe other non-R/Ders see this, and decide to join their respective region's militaries.  A win-win thing for us and our allies.  I'd like to see us do more with other regions, especially defender regions.

DEFINING THE LIGHT:

I also want to define our Defenderism more with my term.  This will be done through a small revamp of the SPSF as far as cosmetic things go.  New logos, flags, motto, maybe new names for our ranks.  With all this fun stuff, I especially want to really solidify what we, the SPSF, stand for.  And I will tell you right now what we stand for:  We stand for the idea of Regional Sovereignty.  We believe that every region has the right to govern themselves how they choose, whether they wish to be more raider-leaning or defender-leaning, whether they want to be democratic, oligarchic, meritocratic, or whatever else any region in NS can identify themselves as.  And we defend the rights of these regions to exist as they do, even if the founder of a region is inactive or has ceased to exist, no matter the region's alignment.  It is with my belief that these small changes will go a long way in helping us define our Special Forces.

With this, I would want to work with the next FA Minister and the Ministers of Media, Culture, and Engagement to define this with our foreign policy and internal happenings as needed as well.  Whether it is through events, or building relationships with our friends in other regions, or anything else, I would be willing to provide anything I can to help.

COI:
My CoI has grown quite a bit since the last time, but my commitments are the same.  TSP is always first in my books.  My main nation is FiHami.  I am currently the Minister of Military Affairs, and I also serve in Regional Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and even just a tiny bit in OWL.  I am also a mentor in the AMP program which I started during my term as Chair of the Assembly, and I am currently a member of the LegComm.  I don't hold any elected positions in any other regions (Though, based on the fact that I am technically a deputy officer in TRR, I am not afraid to help out in other regions... but priority number one is and always will be TSP.)

In the Rejected Realms, I am a Deputy Officer of Outreach there.  My nation in the region is Phoenix of the Rejected.
I also have Southern Phoenix Islands in Warzone Australia, of which I hold Native status under the provisional government.
I also have Stellar Phoenix, sitting in Inferno Stellaria, a sort of graphical experimentation region that pretty much holds no value except being creative with flags and such.
The United Phoenix Islands is currently the founder of Vagotic, A region I refounded for a specific circumstance that involves when another Jump Point is necessary, in the context of R/D events and games.  Also using for basically RP with my nations (The Phoenix Islands stuff... just a small idea I have been having fun developing, which are Eastern Phoenix Islands and Central Phoenix Islands residing in the region, and the others residing in other regions listed.)
Northern Phoenix Islands is in basically a friend region, Tyukunami Chi.
Western Phoenix Islands currently resides in Yorkshire.
Antarcha, Esmaera, and Kireicha are RP nations.
My ambassadorial puppets, I LIKE FIRE and Phoenix of the Lazarene, reside in Forest and Lazarus
On top of all these random nations, I have like 200+ military switchers.  If you want the full list, I can try to dig up all my nations though I haven't made a dedicated list just yet.  I will make that full list.................................... eventually.

Edit, look at this cute lil thing!  This has no bearing on anything but uh... it's cool, right? :>

Edit number 2: COI no longer in spoilers.
Phoenix quickly made a name for herself within the Defender circles as a fantastic leader, giving clear directions and training people with great patience. Within SPSF, Phoenix really did increase our numbers significantly, and did so in a sustainable way. The record for largest updater force in history was broken twice this last term, both by the organizational talents of Phoenix. And finally, Phoenix has a very healthy attitude toward the metagame in a way that many on either side of the aisle should take note.

I cannot say enough good things. I whole-heartedly and without reservation endorse Phoenix to be our MoD.
Your qualifications for this job are not up for debate; your ability to deliver what you want to do in this campaign is impeccable, and I absolutely love the Phoenix graphic.

My only question(s) are would you want to define your foreign policy within the new MoM. If so, how?

Well, regarding the MoM defining foreign policy, I would want to work with the minister and the MoFA, contribute articles to media publications, joint detag runs and training sessions with allies, and anything else the other ministers and I think of.
Phoenix has been stellar to work with during my time as PM. There’s a reason we appointed her to the LegComm - her friendliness, positivity, can-do attitude, and overall spirit of service to the region is why she is one of the most capable leaders around. She has taken the SPSF to new heights and I am confident that she will be able to continue her amazing work. I hope I am given the pleasure of working with Phoenix again next term, but if not, I am sure my competitors will enjoy it as much.

Total and complete support.

TL;DR Don’t RON Phoenix unless you want me to slap you through the internet.
If you have never been on a training VC with Phoenix, you are missing out. There are few in the broader GP community, not just the Defender community, as encouraging and effective at training new recruits.
You tried to convince me to run against you at one point, but there’s no way. You deserve it more than anyone, Phoenix. I will instead stand here and cheer for you as you continue to go above and beyond with everything you do. <3

Seriously why are you so awesomeeeeee I'm literally squeaking! xD

Also, totally should have run against me. Competition is an important part of democracy and having options is very important to improving that, further solidifying my campaign (and others as well!)

Seriously, all of you are too nice omg <3
How will you close the endorsement gap between the South Pacific Special Forces and our regions ennemies?
