Where have I heard that before?!

Anyway.

As many (or some) of you may know, I am Rebel-topia. I have resided here in the great TSP for just shy of 10 years. There aren’t many that can say they’ve called TSP home for anything close to a decade. I have seen many leaders rise to power, and I have seen some of those leaders fizzle out. I have seen us evolve over those years. I have seen us go from unaligned, to “Independent”, to “independent”, to unaligned, to now defender. I have fought for TSP both politically and in the South Pacific Army (now SPSF). I have written laws. I have served in every Cabinet position before the Regional Affairs split just a few months ago. I have been in now-defunct positions such as Vice Delegate, and I have been through name changes such as CSS to CRS.

I can firmly say that The South Pacific was, is, and will continue to be my NationStates home. I love The South Pacific. And, really, how could you not?! The people are amazing. Regardless of what side of the political aisle you’re on nobody hates anyone else. If Glen and Belschaft can get along it’s a pretty great place!

As many people have said – and I absolutely agree – the delegate should be boring. Not as a person, but they should really be a boring choice. The delegate race shouldn’t be a place to bring out all the crazy ideas and conspiracy theories. The Delegate is the Head of State. They have zero political responsibilities. They are a figurehead. The person selected should be a safe choice. Someone trusted to not coup. To not fly off the handle. Someone who has served TSP and done it faithfully.

I am that person.

I don’t have any crazy ideas on how to be the perfect delegate. I’ve seen delegate candidates overpromise and under-deliver. I have seen good intentions of grand daily/weekly/monthly activity fizzle out. I will not do that to you all.

My Promise to the South Pacific:
I will do my best to invest my time into getting to know the people of the RMB. I will work with the Cabinet and Local Council to promote both in-game and off-site activities. I will be an active part of the growth of this region that I love so dearly. And I will not let you down.

I am Rebel-topia, and I approve this message.

Campaign Dispatch
Rebel, you might be our resident CRAZY, but you've got the right idea when it comes to the delegacy. I've known you for about as long as I've been in TSP and you've been nothing but awesome. I'd be happy to see any of the three candidates win this election, and that's how it should be. So far this is a boring race between three superbly qualified candidates. We love to see it.

Best of luck to you, sir.
Home grown and true blue.  Full support.  Best of luck friend!
You last posted on the RMB 46 days ago, and before that 72 days ago (besides a posting streak a few hours ago right after you announced your campaign). Why do you believe you are best suited to connect to gamesiders?
Hypothetically speaking, of course, say in the not-too-distant future, an intrepid reporter working for the Fake News(!) were to uncover a series of legally ambiguous payments made from the regional treasury to an offshore account which belongs to yours truly, would you use your Delegate powers to rightly suppress such unfounded defamation?

Thank you, good sir Smile

I tend to poke about the RMB, but rarely have anything to say. When I do, its usually the dead-end of of one of many conversations ongoing.
And just yesterday, I posted and there was no activity for a while after I did, so I moved on. A few hours later, I replied to someone else, and again there was no one posting for a long while, so I moved on.

What legally ambiguous payments?
Hypothetically, of course.
This is a common TNP election question: if you were to coup TSP, how would you go about doing so?

If I were to coup TSP... Id probably start by claiming to be crazy, prove it for a few years, then run for delegate. Maybe tell people "Im crazy, not stupid" just to get elected. Once Ive amassed enough influence, eject everyone with a nation starting with "R", then move on down the letters til I spell out "Rebeltopia".

Good thing I'm a letter off.
