PROCLAMATION OF RESULTS

NOVEMBER 2021 MINISTER OF DEFENCE SPECIAL ELECTION

WHEREAS a round of voting was held between the days of 05 December 2021 and 08 December 2021 to determine the candidate elected as Minister of Defence to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected, the results being as follows:

Moon (96.55% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Defence)
Domais (3.45% in the first round)
Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)

* Preferences for Ron Weasley, and Reagan were deemed invalid were and not included in the tally.
* The vote cast by QuietDad was deemed invalid upon challenge. See here.

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby proclaim on this day, 09 November 2021, that:

The candidate signaled as such in the list above has obtained a majority of votes after all votes were been counted and preferences have been properly distributed and consequently was duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the office of Minister of Defence to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected;
The result of this election as proclaimed on this day shall be certified, absent any challenges that require further time to be resolved, on 16 December 2021.

WHEREAS Domais challenged this election on this day, 09 November 2021, as follows:

I would like to officially channelize QuietDad's vote as it was edited.

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby proclaim on this day, 09 November 2021, that the challenge is accepted and the vote cast by QuietDad is deemed invalid and shall be removed from the tally on account that it was edited, contrary to Article 2, Section 3 of the Elections Act.

CERTIFICATION OF RESULTS

NOVEMBER 2021 MINISTER OF DEFENCE SPECIAL ELECTION

WHEREAS the result of this election was proclaimed on 09 December 2021 as follows:

Moon (96.55% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Defence)
Domais (3.45% in the first round)
Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)

WHEREAS all challenges to the above result, if any were made, were duly resolved and all changes to the initial result have been duly reflected in the Proclamation from 09 December 2021.

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby certify on this day, 16 December 2021, that:

The candidate signaled as such in the list above has obtained a majority of votes after all votes were been counted and preferences have been properly distributed and consequently was duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the office of Minister of Defence to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected.
