Did you do a shared history with Vercopa with Rhino?

I'm going to have to check with him about this, if he doesn't agree with it, then it's null.

Well for one, the UK didn't care as much about aspects like German remilitarization, because many felt that Germany was treated too harshly by Versailles. And indeed Versailles is pretty much one of the major reasons Hitler got away with a lot of his early plans. Actually Hitler even admired the UK and its empire, I think he actually wanted to ally with them originally.

As for anti-Semitism it's probably worth noting that as much as we like to idealize the allies, even during the war it was still very much a thing even during the actual war. It's only really once the allies found out about the death camps that the idea became rather taboo. There is also a big difference between the mistreatment of Jews in the early pre-war and full open institutional slavery.

No, I didn't. However, if you check my NS page, I have a wonderful bit about Resentine's 100 year civil war with Corporatists, or as you know them: Fascists.

There are some missing numbers(like the "10 million dead" number, which I do plan to update once I flesh out stuff a bit more, but, this is the General summary of what happened.

That's one great page.

I'm still asking Rhino about it though, it's his country.

And, well, to clarify a bit more on it, for the same reasons I made the statement on Farengeto, Resentine despises Vercopa, 'cept with a little bit more Human rights stuff in there somewhere. We don't like dictators or fascists, we see them as the same bad batch of eggs who make trouble for everyone else, and we believe that the only proper sentencing for those kinds of people will usually come in the form of an Artillery Shell.

How about Belgium at that time? Didn't they impose slavery in africa?

@Hammerstar: You basically need to understand that the world pre-1945 was much different from the world post-1945. There was little regard for "human rights" as the universal concept that we had today, and, for all their supposed power, the WWI Allies were not really in a position, nor were they interested in, fighting a war with Germany. That's why they let Hitler violated the Versailles Treaty time and time again, an attitude that led to the Munich Agreement and the "new" partition of Poland.

Another point to consider, connected to the lack of a strong regard for human rights, is that the norm was arguably what benefit states got (which still remains an important consideration, just, I'd say, not as blatantly). At a time where the Great Depression was ongoing, with a military not suited to fight a continental war, a population not eager to send their soldiers to die, and an increasingly militaristic Germany, would the UK have benefited from breaking diplomatic relations ahead of time?

Remember, it's all about the historical context. And especially in that time, lofty notions like human rights didn't mean much.

You can start by not calling well-connected medium powers "headstrong" in official communications. Being the bad guy doesn't mean you have to be undiplomatic. ;)

Ah, with Karnetvor

From the viewpoint of Vercopa. It is clear that they are unswayed, and that their logic falters when Vercopa asks why Zadiner is still accepted, that's what they mean by headstrong.

I thought the tone in the last part would kinda tip the scales, when karnetvor asks for the evidence Vercopa retracts the offer and kinda overrules it. Vercopa's tone has been quite downright disrespectful as well, Rhino wanted me to show it like that. Cunning, dark, spiteful, and incredibly powerful
