Reflections on Fandom Alliance
#51

This is the LAST time I will be saying this!! WATCH YOUR MOUTHS!!! I do NOT appreciate having to read the F-bomb and other such words every time someone gets angry. I thought we were mostly considerate people here who respected each other. I'm getting awfully tired of having to repeat myself in this topic. I WILL START ISSUING WARNINGS TO PEOPLE WHO USE FOUL LANGUAGE. It is for the feeble minded. Not the intelligent, considerate people of TSP.

I don't know if I'm allowed to issue warnings but by golly I'll do it!!

Now I don't normally involve myself with these types of talks due to lack of knowledge and the ability to really care how things happen as long as they are fair and straightlaced. We aren't TNP. We are TSP. We have a code of conduct that worked well for us before again unless I'm wrong. You wanna draft something fine but all of you please keep your attitudes OUT of it.

To follow Pen's mic drop here ...

Let's relax. I'm not happy to two government members are attacking a new Cabinet member, but -- as I've certainly learned this past week -- we don't always get what we want.

That said, I'm not opposed to at least seeing a draft of the Code of Conduct. It should be up to Crimson -- and his generals -- to implement, but I see promise in GR's suggestion. If it's something that might work to mitigate negative effects and -- ideally -- help raise the profile of the SPSF, I'm all for it.

Just to clarify, while you can warn users, using profanity is not really a breach of forum rules. What would be a breach of forum rules would be attacking posters themselves, rather than their arguments or the situation itself.

Nobody has actually used the word as an insult in this discussion.

Quote:It's incredibly hard to be a new cabinet member without sr cabinet members writing essays about how bad of a job you did. I think it's incredibly important to say that crimson tide fan has not only done a good job, but has shown a great effort to minimize harm to the native community. What I don't think we need is to put further legislation in place to restrict the actions of the SPSF after a mission where they shown that they are representing us well.

This thread isn't about Crimson - he implemented our policies to a tee. This thread is about policy.  Policy that has consequences.

Quote:These actions are in direct support of our foreign policy. If we are concerned about offending this region, we shouldn't have a consulate policy that labels them unimportant and dismisses them outright. I don't see the outrage over that policy.

So why are regions by default unimportant? And why does "importance" dictate whether you deserve this?

Well we should fix that becuase it's getting to a ridiculous level.

Anyway. Let's get something rolling here. Crimson, you have any ideas on what you want?

One person swore Pen, nothing to go crazy about.

On then I would like to ask all those who defend the raid of this region, how is raiding a region with 7WA members "training our army?" It's not that's the main point of this. There was a huge number of raiders they was no chance of Fandom Alliance, beating that. 3 natives were banjected, all of the natives seemed distressed and upset and it seems that this region was targeted because it was worried of an attack.

They were not told how long the "training mission" would last, nope were meant to ban or ejected, they had no clue what was happening before we so kindly told them. This was a disgusting act and was nothing short of bullying. Here in TSP were go about saying that those who have performed a coup on TSP are evil and terrible people but we are no better destroying small little community.

I am ashamed and disgusted to be a TSP citizen after this barbaric act. Big regions should help and protect small regions, we should not be destroying them. I condemn everyone who took part in this raid and those who support it. I go back to my first question how is raiding a region with 7WA members "training our army?"

It's called an over-execration, I think you will find everyone uses them. We use many words incorrectly in life this is one of them. Can you please answer my question?

You want someone, who is not a gameplayer to justify gameplay operations? Next you'll be asking a blind mind to explain the colours of the sky.

You want someone far more knowledgeable in GP to comment, I just deal with the diplomatic side of things.

We did not "destroy" a community. We parked our cars in their Applebee's parking lot for a few hours. Nothing is destroyed, nothing is even damaged. The region wasn't passworded, the region wasn't emptied of natives.

Can we tone down the rhetoric and also...the factually incorrect statements?
