Delegate Statement on Belschaft Citizenship Removal
#11

This is shocking news for me. I support this, as Belschaft's actions recently have been erratic. But it is hard to let Belschaft go like this. I feel a little guilty for supporting this, but I know it is the right thing to do.

I'm sorry but as a citizen I cannot support this. Yes, constitutionally the Charter allows this action but just because it is allowed doesn't mean it should be done.

The Assembly has just gone through the motions of appointing an acting-Justice for the purposes of hearing a case lodged by Belschaft. To do this now does not feel comfortable.

This should have formed the basis of charges to the Court and be a matter for the Court to decide.

[I am speaking here as a citizen of TSP. This should not be seen as a legal opinion, any indication of my views as Justice in respect of the cases mentioned or a view of the High Court.]

And yet now, months down the line, my citizenship is stripped for some completely facetious bullshit.

And I've still never been charged with any crime.

Ya know Bel, the funny thing is that when you asked me what I would "testify" to regarding this (and I said, "the truth,") I would've testified that I thought you were letting off steam. Instead you prepared to spin a different tale while continuously threatening me that I was a "silent partner" in potential voter fraud.

I'll be honest in that I'd be leery of stripping your citizenship over just Operation Brave Toaster. However, the fact that you are willing to try and blackmail and manipulate a sitting delegate is the problem for me. Not every delegate has a long history of service to this region and I wonder what would happen to someone that doesn't have the constitution to stand up to you.

Nobody wants this. The cabinet didn't want to strip of your citizenship.

And if you were willing to say, "Look, yes I effed up and got wrapped up in a moment of passion," and apologize, I'm sure it would go a long way. (In fact, it did when you originally said that.) But instead of finding ways to prove yourself to the region -- participating in Assembly discussions, working with the SPSF, etc. -- you choose to vehemently deny you did anything wrong and start pushing court cases against people in the region. (And, at the time same time, attempting to blackmail me.)

Despite this Bel, if you offered an honest, heart-felt apology where you showed you understand the situation, I'd be happy to support an appeal of this decision.

Ah, it's definitely a Thursday.

I am getting increasingly tired of hearing about everything related to that shitty television program, or whatever it is. Next time, please name it something along the lines of Thomas the Tank or Winnie the Pooh, which I actually know of, and could probably enjoy the references to. Bonus points for anyone acting like the Fat Controller and/or Christopher Robbin.

I do not now, nor ever support the subversion against a democratic government no matter how much I despise certain people inside the institution. I am a firm believer that you reap what you sow. So if they want to elect certain people who are clearly dangerous for their community, then that is their right and I will happily sit back and let them exercise their right. I am however thankful for the smallest of mercies that I can muster and it is that this will not negatively impact our foreign relations beyond a simple clarification from the government.

Above all else, I am sad it's come to this. I don't know if this step was ultimately necessary but it's far beyond my capability to manage it now.

I am disgusted with both the Cabinet's decision and with what Bel has shown us. I will not support this decision and I want to see tsu removed from office.

Well punch removing Tsu isn't going to happen. There isn't anything he did wrong.

This situation was blown out of proportion and handled the way it needed to be. Given their mustaches, we did what we had to. The Entire Cabinet. Not just Tsu.

We have your back, tsu.

So does Bel, you can tell by his signature.

He was discussing illegal actions with Bel, and saying that OBLT was "fair" and agreeing that it was 100% legal. I don't think someone who agrees that OBLT is "fair" and "100%" legal sould be in our highest office. When was Bel punished for this but not tsu? In fact was OBLT even illegal?

This was a unanimous Cabinet decision. If Tsunamy is to be recalled from office, I ask to be recalled too. I share full responsibility for the crime of ensuring regional security.
