Non binding vote - Preferred Citizenship Requirements
#1

Please read before voting. This post explains the poll options, and what the vote is for.

As discussed in the Citizenship Law Amendment thread, various options have been discussed for changing or keeping the Citizenship requirements. It seems to be unclear which option(s) is the most popular, so I have decided to do an opinion poll. The results of this is non-binding and is just to give some clarity on how the voters feel about the various options.

Although there is only 1 poll, THREE individual questions are being asked. You may choose ONE response to each question, meaning you will select three options in the poll. You may choose 1 response to Q1 (1A or 1B), 1 response to Q2 (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D or 2E) and 1 response to Q3 (3A, 3B or 3C). These questions and possible answers are as follows (Thanks to Hileville for summarizing 280+ posts, with a few edits by myself):
  • 1) Should we introduce a 2 tiered system? This would be as follows:

Tier 1: Citizens - Can vote in Assembly.
Tier 2: Electors - All rights of Citizens plus can vote in Elections. Some sort of activity requirement would govern this.

1A) Yes
1B) No

  • 2) What is the preferred activity requirement for Citizenship?
2A) WA Nation in TSP
2B) 2 or 3 posts per month on the forums (TBC exact details)
2C) 15+ posts in a 4 month period (I would break that down monthly and say 4-5 posts per month) (Exact details TBC)
2D) No requirement besides resident nation
2E) No requirement besides resident nation AND cannot vote in elections for first 3 months

  • 3) What is the preferred method for citizenship removals?
3A) Roll Call
3B) Immediate Loss
3C) Monthly Checks

I do note that there are a few questions with the Court as well regarding Citizenship eligibility: this vote is not trying to influence these decisions and is completely separate. It is purely to inform those discussing potential changes. It is noted that most of these options would need further clarification and discussion and are just general at this stage.

Let me know if there are any queries, or if this is unclear at all.

Also, some of the people voting in the poll are non-citizens?
