Karnetvor is searching for war criminal Trent von Mayer, but he has escaped the country presumably for Qvait.

This is the National Intelligence Agency's (NIA) file on von Mayer:

"Trent von Mayer (born in 1958) joined the Nationalist Party of Karnetvor (NPK) in 1988. The far-right, conservative party had almost minimal support since its creation in 1985, but that changed in 1989, when the government of the, then called, Kingdom of Karnetvor was overthrown in a popular revolution and substituted by a republic; the following years were characterized by economic recession and social turmoil, and politics were dominated by the Democratic and Social-Democratic parties. In that context, the NPK became an increasingly important opposition party. In that decade Von Mayer was an MP from 1995 to 1998, and Governor of Peach Creek State from 2000 to 2003. 

In 2004, the NPK won the presidential elections. Inmediately after taking power, President Thomas Arlington dissolved the National Assembly, and curtailed freedoms of assembly, speech, and press. He remained in power until 2007, when Von Mayer, representing the NPK, won the (fraudulent) presidential elections against a social democratic candidate. While he was president, von Mayer gave himself unlimited powers, suppressed any kind of dissent or opposition to his rule, illegalized opposition parties, eliminated independent media, imposed a policy of international isolation, turned a blind eye to corruption among party members, and repressed the populace (especially opposition sympathizers and socialists) with the regime's secret police, the Karnetvorian Department of Security (KDS), and its paramilitary wing, the Assault Army (in Karnetvorian, Sturma Armiya; SA).

Eventually, the dictatorship was overthrown in 2012, after a series of massive protests in 2011 were followed by an armed rebellion against the government; the conflict is known as the Karnetvorian Civil War. In the war, government forces were responsible for numerous crimes, such as torturing and executing prisoners, attacking civilians, etc. Von Mayer was supposed to be tried with other members of the regime for their crimes, but he fled the country. He was tried in absentia for crimes against humanity, war crimes, murder, and other crimes, and sentenced to life inprisonment. Evidence suggests that he is hiding in Qvait or Ryccia due to his anti-socialism." 

We confirmed that von Mayer was hiding in Qvait, but there is the possibility that he may have fled the country. We ask the governments of the South Pacific to help us find him. Von Mayer must be brought to justice to answer for his crimes.

Sporaltryus will remain neutral in assisting the search, but will keep more than an eye out for Von Mayer in Sporaltryus and Aquica.

The Domestic Intelligence Agency of Defense and Security (DIADS) has been investigating the possibility of von Mayer being in Qvait and has evidence that he purchased a 26 April flight ticket from Sydney to Daonlathas, but passenger records do not show that anyone matching the ID of von Mayer was on the flight.

We will perform low-level searches within Darkstrait and exercise vigilance regarding international travelers.

The NIA can confirm that von Mayer has not flown to Daonlathas. One of our agents in Ryccia investigated the flight and couldn't find any trace of him. Possible locations are:

• Stockholm, Sydney or Amsterdam (Qvait); most probable, considering he was hiding in Stockholm when the investigation started.
  
• RATSPT; due to its remote location, and for the situation being less unstable there than in the Ryccian mainland.
  
• Crown Hights (Kringalia); it's relatively close to Qvait, it would have been possible for him to escape by car.

Ryccia will investigate this. The RIA(Ryccian Intelligence Agency) along with police will investigate.

Our sweep has so far achieved nothing. We will continue border and airport vigilance and will detain anyone who looks significantly like him.

Anything that might make this process easier, such as a DNA test result, fingerprints, or a iris scan, should be sent to the Darkstraitese Foreign Target Apprehension Service.

DIADS has officially announced that they will place federal agents at every airport, seaport, highway checkpoint, and train stop. Furthermore, the agency will investigate the cities of Stockholm, Sydney, and Amsterdam.

*Renatta and Marshall were walking in the international terminal of Crown Heights, they accidentally bumped into a man in a surgical mask, the ones that people use when they have a cough.*

"I'm sorry sir."

"That's alright young dear, I'm late for my flight, excuse me."

*Renatta and Marshall continued walking.*

"I think I knew that man before, Uh, where did I see him?"

"Too late for anything, he's going to the private lounge. It seems that he owns a private jet."

"You're right Renatta. But...... I can't shake this ill feeling."

*Fastforward (3 hours later.) to TIK embassy in Crown Heights. They met with the ambassador*

"Good day to you agents, sorry for the mess in here. We have orders from the mainland."

"Orders?"

"Yes, an international criminal on the loose, Karnetvor says that the criminal may be hiding in Crown Heights. We'd want to make sure that this criminal does go to Broadsword, TIK Capital."

"Ah, Von Mayer right?"

"AH!"

"What is it Marshall?" asked Renatta.

"Ambassador, notify international, Trent Von Mayer was last seen in Crown Heights boarding a private plane. I remembered the code in his briefcase, 63829."

"I'll notify them immediately!"
