Discussion on Alleviating Rising Tensions
#1

The Qvaitican delegation of the Southern Cooperation Organisation brings to attention a Discussion on Alleviating Rising Tensions, DART, in the South Pacific. After the failure to hold six-party talks in Bonaugure, the Qvaitican government wants to bring the discussion to the Southern Cooperation Organisation.

I want to make it clear that the Qvaitican government is concerned that Farengeto's unwillingness to compromise with what they call the "unrecognized" state of Ryccia is what is bringing the South Pacific closer to a large-scale military conflict. As this discussion begins, I would like to invite delegations from Ryccia and Laiwan to observe this discussion. Before this discussion continues, I would like to inform the delegation from Farengeto that if they walk out on this discussion, then they're walking out on peace, because there cannot be peace if there are no talks.

We cannot walk out on peace when your attempts to force us into submission will lead only to more conflict. The unrecognized states are unbelievably violent and terrifyingly unstable. They do not hesitate to massacre entire towns only to beg for peace. They are a threat to themselves and others.

Even with the "reductions" to their nuclear arsenal they are still capable of destroying half of the South Pacific. And what if one of the countless rebel factions capture a silo? Are we one desperate man away from annihilation? Former President Larue almost scrapped our nuclear program, only to continue it out of fear of these rogue states. They will not win a war against the South Pacific, but they would kill us all trying.

We have nothing to back down on. We are not the agressors. We are not the threats to safety and stability. These unrecognized states will never back down, and by saction or by blood we will see their surrender before we all pay the price.

Awesomiasa will not engage in talks with the two unrecognised entities, unless these talks are backed by the international organisations (SCO or SSU) in the South Pacific. While we understand the Qvaitican government's position on giving recognition and even assistance to these entities, having an organisation such as the SCO splintered and divided along the lines of whether or not member states give recognition to the two entities is detrimental to fostering cordial relations between member nations.

While we acknowledge Qvait's positive intentions in organising talks, we are suspicious of the fact that given Qvait is leading these talks without backing of the international community, that the Qvaitican government will collude with the authorities in the two entities to come to some agreement that benefits them, but is detrimental or threatening to the international community

Farengeto, the way I see it is that Ryccia does not want war and are not the aggressors either. Furthermore, I would like to point out that Ryccia is not the only nation capable of destroying the South Pacific because a number of other nations possess nuclear weapons too.
