Then let yourself churn.

I mean, I would be in favor of giving our breed of defender-ism a distinctive name, too.

Something like: Roavinian defenderism or Rhodesian defenderism or something like that.

"Lampshade Defenders" is the obvious one. Tounge

Y’all, we don’t need to be the annoying hipsters who have to be ••unique•• because we’re too squishy about the word “defender”... What we’re proposing doing is defending. No point in making a special word to hide that...

Maybe making it “ours” would make more people comfortable with the idea? I’m not a “hipster” (although I like avocado toast) but I do feel that if We’re going to be ”re-establishing” defenderism rebranding it as our own is a good idea.

Are we re-inventing the wheel, or bringing it back after its use has decreased? I feel the latter is sufficiently groundbreaking.

I'd say we're bringing back the wheel but we're giving it better bearings and installing shiny lampshade rims with our logo to flaunt our style. So, both. Tounge

Sure, but do we really need to come up with flashy new names and justifications for a defender switch? I mean, let’s be honest and upfront about what we’ll be doing and leave if there. We already would be breaking new ground by leading a defender revival, without the need to redefine what it means to defend.

'We already would be breaking new ground by leading a defender revival' seems more like digging up old ground. Here is an opportunity to own a brand, I see no reason why not to take it.

Honestly, adding a South Pacifican brand/name to a defender alignment feels cringy to me.
