I think you have completely misunderstood the concept behind "all humans are equal".

That capitalism takes freedom away? It does, but how about the rights to own a succesful company or own land or whatever? Those rights are important. And how about the right to choose? Very important.

I hope I got this right. If I misunderstood this again, Im sorry.

"Humans are equal." Refers to Civil and Political Rights. Economic Rights are another matter entirely.

Then I agree.

Complete economic equality is impossible unless everyone, including the government, is dirt poor.

But trimming the income gap is a great goal to work toward.

Yup. That's true.

Trim the income gap!(The capitalist way, with government regulations like a minimum wage and stuff). I love capitalism, but not corpotrocacy(is that the way its spelled?).

Socialism versus Capitalism - ProfessorHenn - 05-25-2015

Corporatocracy. That's what Sporaltryus was before the current government came in.

And minimum wage and the like are leftist policies.

Sanders2016.

RE: Socialism versus Capitalism - Ryccia - 05-25-2015

Oh, not Sanders! THE Bernie Sanders?!

Help! America is doomed!(Since the US is built on capitalism and Sanders is socialist, or social democrat, we are doomed. America as we know it might cease to...exist and maybe be replaced by a socialist USA)

And yeah, sometimes you gotta accept some leftist ideas. As long as they are not extreme.

Socialism versus Capitalism - ProfessorHenn - 05-25-2015

Sanders is what America needs. The ways of America are turning increasingly conservative and increasingly difficult for the middle and lower class to rise up. The income disparity at this point is akin to that of the Roaring 20s, where 1% of the people made 20% of the money.

Off-topic, but is Sanders for or against puerto rican statehood?
