RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Jay Coop - 07-30-2017

I'll take care of it.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Hammerstar - 07-30-2017

Thanks Qvait, because I have something much, much, much, much, much more important to do IRL. In addition to what's said in Discord.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Jay Coop - 07-30-2017

Here is what I have developed:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sjhOHcxsHg565ml19WUv2OITquwwiKOo6Kdt4uuwu5o/

Before I submit this in the IC thread, I want to discuss language and make sure that we don't miss anything. I also have a preliminary logo in the document. We can decide whether to have a new logo later on.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Qwert - 07-30-2017

I started working on one as well earlier this week, but didn't have enough time to continue (got the basic document structure and the crucial points). I think most of it is covered in yours, I'll check later.

I gave designing a seal/logo a try too:

It's supposed to be representation of a globe (with the tilt indicated by the olive branch, which also represents peace), and the the triangles the five continents of Pacifica coming together.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - GI-Land - 07-31-2017

I understood the World Forum as a UN-esque organisation.
Is it possible for the UN to expell members? I don't think so, which is why I'd delete this paragraph.
Other than that this draft looks already fine, but I can't say anything about the language, so it looks more "official".

[OOC] A World Forum - Kris Kringle - 07-31-2017

It is indeed possible for the UN to suspend and expel members.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - GI-Land - 07-31-2017

Ok, thanks for the information. I didn't know that. Is there a reason, why they haven't done something like this, e.g. with North Korea, yet?

[OOC] A World Forum - Kris Kringle - 07-31-2017

Because the idea is to keep everyone on the negotiating table, as part of the same international order. It'd be pointless to expel a member, because then they'd have even less incentive to rejoin (re: Cuba and the OAS). Economic and diplomatic sanctions, multilateral negotiations, tend to work better.

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Qwert - 08-26-2017

Now, what remains to be done is to go home and have your governments sign and ratify the document. Then it's time to populate the various institutions Tounge

RE: [OOC] A World Forum - Hammerstar - 08-28-2017

Let's get rid of SCO and UF, and instead put the World Forum.

Make subforums of each department as well~
